college work study jobs. If I go to an interview for a clerical job do you think it would be acceptable to wear the ring. If I get it done now there's no way I'd be able to take it out for an interview.

I have my nose pierced, just a tiny stud, but had to take it out for work. I think you should wait and find out if it is acceptable. Chances are you will make a fantastic impression and be able to wear it! I say don't take the chance of not geting the job.

Good luck!

I'd hold off. Though it's becoming more socially acceptable to have piercings and tattoos, first impressions count during interviews more than you know! Not to mention that each company has it's own dress code policy so if you get your nose pierced and then land a great job with a great company who has a strict dress code that is anti-nose-being-pierced; you'll have to take it out anyway.

I would say don't get it done right now. However, you can get a stud that is your skin tone to wear at work, so that your boss may never even know you have the piercing. But, my opinion would be not to get it if you know it could cost you a job, or promotion down the line. Get something pierced that isn't as visible.

wait till after the interview or wait till you find a job... I know some places make you cover them with a very small round stiickey thing.

It is not right but people will judge you on the piercing. My granddaughter has one & she takes it off & on all the time. There are many, many places she can't wear hers. Her dance school won't even allow her to perform wearing it.

Ask yourself where your priorities are & you will answer your own question.

when i went to college i remember there being a girl who worked at the library (most likely work study) with BLUE hair!!
however, maybe she got it after she started working.

why dont u first get the job THEN get the nosering, as a reward for getting the job? that way u are playing it safe and it serves as an incentive to get the job!

Why does it have to be this week that you pierce your nose?
Which is more important to you, working or piercing your nose?
How about waiting until it is the most important thing for you to do?

Don't get the piercing. This is a good example of why you shouldn't do it.
