The length of time your mother left you to be considered abandonment varies by state. If you go to the police, depending on what state you live in, they may say you're a child in imminent danger and put you in foster care. You really need to find someone that understand the Texas laws and county involving child abandonment and emancipation before you take any action. Seek an adult or you can find information at the library, or get in contact with your local court clerk office

Go to city hall and see if you can find some answers.

Call social services in your area and explain the situation. They will set it up so you can stay with your friend and get child support from her until you are emancipated. Good luck hun

OMG, you poor thing. I don't know about the laws in Texas but take your time before you jump into anything. Don't push yourself to do to much at one time. Relax as much as possible and get things sorted out in your head before you jump on anything. Thank your friend and friend's family every chance you get for what they are doing for you, don't ever take them for granted! Do the best to make yourself "someone" someday. Don't let this stand in your way of success! Good luck!

I think you will be turned over to child protective services. She can be arrested. You should talk an adult and get them to talk to an attorney for advice. Sorry your mom did that to you but it's her loss and problem. I wish you the best and don't let this mistake ruin your life.

Call social services. They will take action. Your mom should be arrested for doing what she has done.

talk to your friends parents. Perhaps they can help you out. If you can't talk to them, try talking to someone at school (principal, teacher, guidance counsellor). Ask someone who knows your community and will help you find someone to help you.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Good luck.
