You can get him a Saleen Mustang. Beautiful car and very fast. Goes 0 to 100 in 4.5 seconds. I have a GT500 Shelby Mustang 2006. It has 500 horsepower and that is enough for me. Make sure he can handle a car that fast though and is responsible with it. You don't want him to hurt or kill mimself or somebody else. Good luck. I love fast cars.

Nothing is really going to be faster stock than an $80k Corvette Z06, spend anything more than that and you're just buying a badge and a better interior. Take the other $1.52 million and put it in mods. For that kind of money you could outfit it with a jet engine, wings, and a propeller. To top it off, strap a shark with a laser on it's head to the roof of the car. That would be frickin' sweet He'll be the only kid at his high school with anything like it.

if you want new and flashy, the new 2007 ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1. it has 620 HP, V12 and a 6.0L.
the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish, they are not making it anymore so it could become a hot item, plus if he knows how to drive cars (i mean really drive cars) this one is a super ride.
the Ferrari F430 F1 is a favorite, buuuuuut the Enzo would be my top choice. V12 660HP super rare and super fast. it's unbelievable!! only 399 were made and made available to certain people but you would still be able to find it (like on ebay) and it would probably come the closest to your limit of 1.6M.
OR if you want something that would beat everything out of the water (but its really not an expensive car), try to find a Toyota Supra and you will probably use like 80k to supe it up to have close to 900HP. and they actually look awesome for a toyota and older car but it could spank those F1 Ferraris. then you still have money left over to buy him luxury cars!

a car is a horrible investment...i suggest getting a Honda Accord or Civic and saving the rest of the money for something more important, like a college education, or a house, or property, etc.

ur insane and i must be crazy cause if ur gonna buy ur son a sports car are u trying to kill him i mean these days all kids do is wanna street race it stupid u don't need to drive fast im 16 and i drive and i don't even like to hear the way my friends drive all u need to do is buy him a honda civic and if he wants to make it go fast just put aftermarket performance parts on it

My dad got me a Mercedes McClaren F1 it was under that amount I'm pretty sure.
I wrecked it though I wouldn't recommend it for a new driver. Get him one of the new Porsche's. They're only like 126K so if he wrecks it no big deal.
