I lie to everyone about my religion, my family will dissaprove, as well as my friends...but I believe it to be the religion for me.
I about to get married (my fiance does know about this), but religion is coming up a lot in my family, should I tell them? or wait until my kids are born to tell them?

I was Orthodox (my family is very strong in that belife) I am now Mormon.

If you sincerely believe that it is the religion for YOU and your fiance does know---do not worry about what your family thinks.
Remember what Jesus said, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to His disciples, He said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister and mother."
Remember that you have a purpose for living--God has a plan for your life.
I am a strong believer in the Purpose Driven Life--I strongly recommend that you go to their web site--the first seven chapters are available FREE online.

Hm that makes you a second Orthodox person that I know to have converted to Mormonism. Listen, it's your choice. Either time you tell them, they will probably be upset (my being an Orthodox and knowing full well what it's like to try to switch religions). However, I'm sure they will gradually come to accept it if they see you not changing to become evil. Plus remind them that God accepts prayers from everyone - even those who are deceived.

You know your parents better than I do, so I can't give you advice right away. But if they are any kind of thinking and loving people, then they will eventually accept. You might have to suffer through some years of isolation. The thing to do is to not give up and to not throw them away because they have thrown you away. That's the Christian way, whether you are a Mormon, an Orthodox, or a Catholic. Hell, even if you are Muslim, too.

God be with you.

first off, mormon or orthodox - both think lying's bad, so stop that. God's not impressed with the double-minded. He'd rather have you on His side, and if you're on the other, well, He knows where you stand and will judge accordingly. If you're "sitting on the fence" you might be relying too much on His Mercy.
Heb 10:31 " It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. "
But for you, what's obviously more fearful than The Lord is dealing with your family and friends. Tell em. Get a pair and tell em.
If you can't stand up for what you believe, how effective of a Mormon or an Orthodox Christian (or any religion for that matter) are you? Maybe you don't know how to explain it, but if you have faith in it, then show it.

Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

yeah, and be ready to tell God too, as He will want to know...

Who was it that said, "The truth shall set you free?" If you are getting married, i am assuming you are an adult.

I know if it were myself, i would rather be the one to tell my family then to live a lie. I am pagan and my family accepts me just the way that i am....this is the first time in my life i have been reasonably happy, sane and secure.
If i like it, they love it!

Don't get married while you are unable to act as an adult. Surely the honesty of an atheist would help you. Have integrity with your family and friends, then it is their decision whether to be ugly bigots or warm and accepting, at the moment you are the one in the wrong.

It may be better to not tell them at all. Mormonism is arguably the silliest religion on the planet, and you will (not unreasonably) be thought to have taken complete leave of your senses.

Just fess up to it. You're an adult right?

If you can't do a simple thing like own up to what you do in life, how are you ever going to face God at your judgment?

Get some practice in now while you can.

many faiths, in actuality maximum, declare their faith holds the reality approximately god and our existence. in spite of if it is obviously as much as guy or woman opinion. in case you relatively seek for solutions for such questions i'm afraid faith isn't the situation to pass finding.
