Don't worry too much about this. The system will have to be in place for the antichrist to use it. You will have to make a choice to take the 'mark of the beast'. It will NOT be something that will just be slipped in. IT is a conscious choice to take what he will be offering while KNOWING that it is wrong. EVERYMAN will have a choice to either go with God or follow the antichrist. This could be the system that will be used for this purpose and for those who KNOW what the Bible says about these end time events, know that the time is getting short and we are to be ready because He is coming like a thief in the night and there will be two standing in a field and one will be gone.

I wouldn't worry about the 'verichip'. Most serious Bible scholars will tell you that the book of Revelation was written to the Christians who were persecuted during the time of Roman rule. The "beast" that John was talking about was actually the Roman empire. Once a year people were commanded to 'bow down' and worship Caesar as God. If they did, they would receive a mark upon their hand or forehead, which would enable them to buy or sell in the market place. Those who would not take the mark (Christians) were considered enemies of Rome because they refused to worship the emperor. Historically, this scripture has already been fulfilled.

(Revelation 16:2) There are some interesting things to note about the mark of the beast. One, it would have to be voluntary; otherwise, there could be no punishment if it forced. Two, you cannot buy or sell without the mark, which basically means that those that don't have it become "non-citizens". Three, scripture says to "calculate" the mark of the beast. The Greek word used for calculate is the same root word we get the word "mathematics" from. John wrote that over 1900 years ago. Apart from a revelation from God, how could he have possibly known?

I totally buy your correlation. I've thought that for a while. I believe that Revelation is a prophecy of the end times. I think we are nearing the end times but I also realize that every generation on this earth since Christ left thought the same thing. It is something to be mindful of for sure. I think this information is given to us so that we can be aware of what's going on and avoid it.
So, in conclusion, I personally will not be receiving the Verichip--or anything else anyone wants to implant in me in order to be identified or buy anything. I'm undecided as to whether there will be a rapture beforehand--some people say yes and some say no. Good question.

there is no mention of a chip any place in the Bible...revelations speaks of the mark of the beast...churches can't agree on just what that mark is...some churches believe it is the day chosen to worship...God's day of rest is the seventh day which is saturday, so the mark of the beast is worshipping on sunday...some think the anti-christ is the pope and that is the reason for the mark being sunday worship...we will all know soon enough, but there won't be a chip needed for implanting to mark anyone...

Revelation is not the only book in the bible which speaks of a mark in the hand or forehead. Do some research and you will find it is symbolic and means the works of man (mark in hand) and the thoughts or beliefs of man (mark in forehead). It has nothing to do with a micro-chip.

Not sure which Bible you're reading but I haven't found anything about an "electronic chip" being put any where on my body. I know nobody likes them but Jehovah's Witnesses have a pretty good book on Revelation. You might want to check out their website and order the book. Your answers might be a little more clear than what you've been getting. Of course, if you're just being weird, then you won't want to get real answers.

You shouldn't take everything written in the Bible as absolute truth. First of all, it was written many years ago by mere mortal men. For all we know, they could have been the equivalent of those that live under bridges and smoke crack in this time. The bible is just another confusing labryinth for humans to get trapped into.

Revelations was written by John in about 64 AD. The numbers would have been the Roman Numerals DCLXVI. This was what was used to represent Nero.
