If Patton or someone like him were alive today...NO...he was controversial then and he defiantly would have been put in a brig by now using todays standards...but we need a Patton to get this crap done and over with and not the politicians.

customary Patton became a brilliant expert at a definite variety of conflict. regrettably we've not carried out that variety of conflict because WWII. because WWII we've arranged for the subsequent WWII, despite the fact that it in no way got here. rather we've small wars in small worldwide places the place massive, complicated weapons structures, air superiority, and so on. do not help us. we aren't combating to shop Iraq from a huge, properly-geared up worldwide aggressor, we are the aggressor. we aren't against a properly-experienced expert military in Iraq, we are combating against the folk themselves. Patton became a grasp of tank conflict yet tanks are ineffective in this conflict. Vietnam became the comparable. Korea became the comparable. actually maximum wars because WWII have been like this. Patton might in all likelihood have cautioned Bush to not invade Iraq interior the 1st place. All his authentic military specialists did, yet he did not hear to them. So Patton might the two settle directly to do the main suitable with what he had, in any different case he might have quit in disgust and probably written a tell-all e book.

Not only would he win the war in Iraq, he would drive into Iran and beat the living daylights out of the Mullahs, then drive down to Syria and do the same.

Patton was called "Old Blood & Guts" for a reason and he would've been the best darn General we would have. I wish we had guys like Patton (Army), Halsey (Navy), Puller (Marines) and LeMay (Air Force) in our military right now.

If General Patton was still alive and running the show, our military wouldn't be having a lot of the problems it has today with the liberals. He would probably shoot them himself. And this don't ask, don't tell would be long gone real quick!

No. Patton's hands would be tied by Bush, as are the hands of our current military leaders.

The only way to win the war in Iraq is to completely level that country with nuclear bombs and start over. If a few of our "smart bombs" stray into Saudi Arabia and Iran, so be it.

Son it is a differant centuary. I remeber seeing a cartoon in the Navy times depicting d-day 1942 and showed an example if we had d-day today, the media were going to say we cannot do this. Which I understand that media coverage today is everywere unlike in the past in ww2. Hardly any coverage at all despite todays media. It is sad that today they even document and everything is shown mostly censored but think about it does it make you sad or mad when you hear that 3 soliders died today and 2 soliders are proably going to die tommorow. Do you know that over 5,000 died on d - day One day. That was back then

really it's the truth...during ww2 we bombed all the major cities in japan and Germany. It was thought it would break the morale of the German people. Thousands of civilians were killed and millions were left homeless. I'm sure if patton were here that's what he would propose we do in Iraq.
