the ultimate prank. i know there are devices that you plug into your mp3 player and you can set it to a certain station. Me and a buddy used to hijack the radio in art class and play the "peanut butter jelly" song. but i want something that takes over all the radio waves in a 50-100 foot radius. this way i can take over FM radios on the beach or in malls. hahha

Those miniFM transmitters are designed to only work over a limited area for a reason: to not intrude on transmitters with legitimate broadcast rights granted by the FCC. I'm annoyed by the ones who use these things on the highway to couple their satellite radio to their car stereo, but I guess I get to listen to Howard Stern for free if I drive next to them.

That said, if you're savvy enough you could figure out a way to crank up the xmit power of your MP3 FM transmitter. FCC is too manpower-strapped to be chasing after pranksters, but don't make a habit of doing it or else someone might accuse you of being a broadcast pirate.

"They're coming to take me away, ha ha..."
