I just graduated from college (im 24), I want to spend about 250-300 bucks on my moms bday because she deserves a good gift.

I've been thinking she would love to be able to shop for clothes, and have considered buying a gift card for 200-350 bucks. Where should I get it for??

I think she would enjoy shopping which is why I say gift card instead of actual merchandise.

How nice of you! I'm about your mom's age so I'll tell you what my son once did for me that I really liked. Instead of giving me a gift card to one particular store, he gave me a mall gift card....that I could use all over the mall! It was really cool....didn't lock me in to any one store and gave me lots of options and choices. I had a great time with it, and even went to lunch while shopping and was able to use it there. Again, just want to tell you that I think it's very sweet and thoughtful of you......your mom is very lucky that you want to do so much for her. To be honest, though, that's a lot of money and I'm sure she doesn't want you to spend so much. But you know her best and this is YOUR gift, so do what you want to do. Hope this has helped a little....and I'm sure that her birthday is going to be very special!

I am not 50 yet but I know that I would love a heart pendant with family birthstones. I don't wear a lot of junk but I would wear a pendant. A nice family ring maybe. Something with a heart always goes over well with any woman.
Gift cards are too impersonal and scream..."I hardly know enough about you to get you something you would like...go get it yourself"
Don't do the gift card...even an ashtray for a non-smoker is better than a gift card. (at least it could be used as a candy dish)

Another thought is to put some old home movies on dvd for her or have something custom made with pictures of her family. Good luck.

And remember ...Tell Her YOU LOVE HER (it costs nothing)

Something like a Visa gift card that can be used anywhere she goes. This doesn't confine her to one store. Blessings to you for wanting to do this for your Mom!

Guess it depends where you live. Does she like jewelry or prefer clothing? Does she like mall shopping or prefer little boutique type places? Sorry, this probably only gave you more questions than answers.

Ask her what she would like. Maybe time with you would be her best present.
