ok so im starting highschool soon and i never liked changing for gym everyday infront of people i barely know. i know were all girls in the locker room but some girls have to comment about everything and trust me GIRLS ARE MEAN!. im not saying im afaird to change infront of them but i do feel self conscience. i just want people who feel the way i do to tell me how they deal with it. my strategy was always to take off my pants and put the gym ones on first so my t shirt is long and covers my underwear. than take off my shirt and have the gym one ready to put on quickly.lol. i also have a big scar on my stomach from a past surgery witch no one knows about and i dont ant ppl start asking questions so i keep it hidden.in my 3 middle school years no one noticed so im doin good. so a whole nother year comin up of changing for gym. advice or comments?

Embrace your body! Love even the things you think are flaws. Sexiness is attitude, not necessarily looks. If you have a scar, cool! If someone wants to make fun of you, screw them! They're just looking for something to make themselves feel better.
Walk tall, walk proud, be kind and sweet and no one will have anything on you.
And if they do...
Screw them.

You do most of the stuff I do. I quickly slip the shirt off and put on my gym shirt to cover my lower half and then take off the jeans and put on the shorts. I normally stay facing the lockers. I know what you mean about girls, they always mention when people are wearing the same bra or underwear as them, I'm like sickos! haha You could always try getting dressed in the bathroom, that's what I do on 'those days' ;D Though my problem is I always wore camis that covered everything, now I wear bras and that's going to be a little weird for me, but good luck.

That depends completely on the school. For me, I had the best math teacher on the planet. he taught very well, always came to help you, and if you had your cell phone out, he would throw witty jokes at you to embarrass you into putting it away. And then we had this Physical Science teacher. She was not mean at all, just dull and a bit strict.Getting good grades in her class was easy. You just had to work. A LOT. Then we had an english teacher, quite the peppy old lady she was. She's no nonsense, but very entertaining to learn from. Somehow, she could just make a lesson interesting. I dont know why, but there always seems to be an old stubby dude for gym teachers. Same here, LOL

Girls are very brutal...when I was a freshman in high school me and all my friends were terrified to change infront of each other. After a few weeks and being rushed by coaches it just becomes natural and you start to feel more confident about yourself because you know that everyone feels the same way you do....what you're doing now is a good idea and if you just remember that being confident is important you'll be fine....

I'm a guy, so I can't help you with your changing. But someone is going to notice the scar someday. You need to think up some outlandish story for it. "The aliens took me apart and put me back together when they abducted me." Or something like that. My wife had circular scars on her breasts from biopsies during high school years. When college girls asked about them, she told them they were from cigarette burns when she was in the gangs. - In other words, it's none of their d**n business what the scar is from.

I think you should stick with your strategy and try to relax. You can't help the scar. If someone see it just say- oh that's just a scar from some surgery.
The more cool you are with yourself, the less they will have to pick on.

most people feel the same way. When your changing people arent standing around looking for any imperfection to make fun of. They are too busy hiding their own. So no one should be looking at you unless they have problems!Trust me your fine. But make sure you wear a bra cause otherwise its too noticable and people will make fun of you

yea...i used to be rly rly self conscious of my body and stuff when i was changing after gym it felt like a show for all the girls but then i figured out that most of them felt the same way (except for the girls who go running around in their bras and thongs of course)

im going into 9th in a week too...soo yea

i mean, im confident and proud of my body and stuff and its not as if anyones ever made fun of my body to my face before, so im fine with changing but there were lots of girls who did the same thing you did...believe it or not, but there are plenty of girls who dont love stripping everywhere and are dressing after and before gym just like you
