Shooting in RTC?

I leaving for Navy bootcamp in 7 days.
What kind of firearms training will I be doing?

The standard service rifle and the standard service pistol. Firearms training became the vogue in Navy recruit training as a 'lesson learned" from the Korean War when it was found that Navymen ashore could not provide defense of the Pusan Perimeter because the didn't know how to use individual weapons.

You will do some lazer training with a 9-MM and a rifle. The live fire is only with the 9-MM and you only have to shoot like 3 times or opt not to do it at all. It's up to you. But you have to do the lazer training.
