They'll claim that these scientists are Satanic and that God is creating it to deceive them, or some lame excuse like that.
By then, creationist books will be one sale for 75% off.

Well unless you have been able to keep the Ten Commandments perfectly you will be judged by them since this is God's standard for you to live by.
Are you really claiming not to be a sinner? That you are perfect?
Remember, a perfect God cannot let you off for He would hardly be perfect if He did.
There would be no point in giving The Commandments if He were not going to enforce them.
Even human courts don't just let people off. You wouldn't think the judge was good if he let off murderers, liars, thieves, rapists etc.,etc.
You would be better advised concerning yourself with this most vital and relevant problem.
You cannot escape from God's justice for that is the one thing most certain in this short life.
Unless you come up with an answer to this your problem ... your own reasoning can tell you, but God has made it plain, He must punish you. God's punishment is infinite to match your sin against the Infinite One.
He has made it clear that He doesn't want to have to punish you. He is tender and very concerned but He is not a fool and He must if you keep on in rebellion.
Please don't be a fool yourself and think that you can outwit Him or know better than Him. You should consider that He knows everything, even what you think and where your thinking is wrong.
I don't want to appear rude but you need Him, we all need Him and though He loves and is very piteous yet He doesn't need us, not if we will not be parted from our sins.
You can understand, nothing else really matters.

Actually, you saw an article, got really excited thinking that you could put down creationists and posted it.
You accuse others of not having read the article while the truth is that you have not really read the article yourself.
It does talk about evolution.
Quote.
His idea is that once the container is made, if scientists add nucleotides in the right proportions, then Darwinian evolution could simply take over.
Unquote.
Hmmm...interesting! if scientists add nucleotides...then Darwinian evolution could simply take over.
And, how do I explain this? It is there in that quote. Someone has to do something before life, synthetic as it is called, is created.
And, by "basic" they are referring to the four bases that form DNA -- so really, the experiment starts at a point where we are not really talking about base elements, but complicated proteins.

that's a real odd question. Because even though I believe in the selection process as presented by Darwin and survival of the fittest, and I don't follow creationism as a probably cause of evolution, (which is still occurring with life forms)...I am however using the scientific method when I say, everything, Science, Creationism, etc...is all hypothetical.
Science, is theory..I say that because in science you have to test all theories and go through a whole scientific process to prove or disprove, and it is still subjective. Objective is when you observe the scientific process...
so I cannot say that Science wins, it just continues to prove it case. Winning means the argument is over...
and I don't see that happening anytime soon. I guess its just syntax.
Its also hateful speach to say "Garbage information" how can someone have respect for scientists if they use hateful language.
Let me repeat, I am a science person not a creationist...and yet I refuse to call creationists stupid. I just wont do it to prove any points.

Cool, so scientists know the recipe for carbon-based life...but they still don't know how matter / energy were created. If aliens landed right outside my window right now and told me that Jesus was just a fable, and there is no God, I'd take a picture of their UFO, sell it to some news network, spend the money on lots of partying, and continue to believe in what you probably consider to be an imaginary force.
I know...I'm gullible when it comes to spirituality, but that's OK. Spirituality does not require empirical evidence or repeatable experiments to convince people that there's something ELSE to us than just atoms and EM radiation.

This is interesting due to the fact that if this cell is created, we will be able to understand abiogenesis and figure out how it happened and what was needed for it to happen.
True that an intelligent creator is designing this single celled life form, but perhaps with some research, we will figure out the conditions of which it is possible for the cell to form on it's own.

If they do succeed in creating some kind of a bacteria I hope they remember to install some kind of a kill switch on it.
I find myself a bit sceptical about this. I think it might be possible but except for it being a learning tool it seems like reinventing the wheel.
It would show that abiogenesis is possible though even if it does not prove that the process they used is like the original possible events.

I come up with this next:
What are the Odds of the DNA forming for Thousands and Millions of Living Things, in the Same Time Frame (oh, lets say a Billion Years!) that Allow them to Co-Exists on a Planet (the only one in say, Oh A Billion Planets) that is Able to Support these Kind of Goings On?
I Think you'll have to Use a SuperComputer and Wait a While for the "Odds" to come up on this one.
Dit=============to!

First of all, God and science are not in a contest.
Some religious freaks and some neo-nutcases are...but that's a whole other story.
Second, there is nothing to "explain away".
Not, at least, until they can actually do it "from scratch"...that is, create life from completely non-living material. NO "ready made" genetic material allowed.
There's that old joke, about the scientist who challenged God, claiming that he, too, could create a man.
God allowed that He would meet the guy, and they would have a contest.
God stood at one end of a field, and the scientist stood at the other. At a given signal, they both bent over, and began to scoop up a handful of dirt, when God called out "Time!"
"Why?" the scientist sneered, "are You afraid I can really do it?"
"No," laughed God, "I'm sure you can...but you have to start with your own dirt..."
In this case, I think we can allow the scientist to use God's dirt, as long as he gives God the credit.
'nuff said...

Explain what away?
From what I read there they have come up with a way to grow a life form, not sure what kind yet but how does that effect us.
Let me guess now there has always been humans and they made themselves.
Doesn't work for me and it won't work for others.
You should have seen that without us having to tell you.
Good Night dude you are so worried about us you need some rest.

Like I said if God is the creator
who is the animator
who is the producer
who is the director
Basically creationists are at the end of their rope
their next best bet will probably be to start destroying intellectuals because if they can preach to the dumb then
they can restart the lies
