Picture Tubes?

Will a rgb tube for a magnavox 46 inch rear projection tv fit a sony 53 inch rear projection? They look the same and the magnavox is compatible with several other brands.

They aren't the same....the pins on the crts are placed in different spots so the voltages applied to the pins are in the wrong place.

Plus the deflection angle and the deflection vertex of the yoke will be completely different too.....

You can't get a good picture without the ORIGINAL BRAND of CRT.....

may be, but what about the magnavox makes it compatible?
