The angel Gabriel announced to the Blessed Virgin Mary that the Holy Spirit shall come upon her (Luke 1:15) and that she would conceive in her womb and have a son to be called Jesus. So the father of Jesus is God that is why Jesus is called the Son of God.

If you “impregnate as many virgins as you can find,” you may not go to Heaven. Why? Because you may be doing an immoral act, according to God’s law. Do you love your fellowmen? Are the virgin women and girls not your fellowmen? Where is your love if you impregnate them?

During the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, Christian leaders needed to settle the question of whether Christ was God or just God-like. After it was settled that Jesus, the Son, was the same as the Father, one would just have to look at the MANY stories of virgin births in Greek and other ancient mythology to explain how a human could give birth to a god.

Christianity borrows much, much more from ancient mythology than we are willing to understand.

It means the virgin was impregnated by the spirit, instead of by a man.

Buddha's mother was impregnated by a white elephant, a symbol of the spirit. Isis was impregnated by Osiris, the sky god and king of the judgment, she gave birth to Horus. Mary was impregnated by God via the Holy Spirit, she bore Jesus. There are other parallels as well.

Most of the god-men of mythology were 'born of virgins' and when constructing the jesus story 'they' could do no less than Horus or Mithra to name but two.

Can you imagine a teen ager (for she would only have been 15 at the most) rushing home to tell her dad she'd had sex with god?
It's a wonder he didn't go off on some honour-killing rampage after killing her.

If only one gives birth? What if all of them, or half of them, or a quarter of them give birth? You talk about going to heaven. You'll be too busy working three jobs to pay child support. Keep your zipper up, pal.

You have a sad perspective of what God is all about nor do you have any understanding.

Your flesh penetrates the lives of others as a joke.

If you knew the father then you would know from the gift of the Holy spirit that there is nothing impossible for God to do. He created man.Can anyone do that even man tried to clone Gods creation and failed. You think by using the gift God gave to marriage sex you will get to heaven with that mind set? You admit you do not understand yet you will die from lack of knowledge. You refuse to seek God the creator of you and everything you have and know. You put your self as weak as you are in the place of God? If I? If I what? Without God you can do nothing, you can not even worship him. He gives every man that desire. Do you think one day we just wake up and say" I love God?" No! God makes the choice,we do not find him, he is always present he chooses us. The Holy Ghost confirms to our spirit that the Christ is Lord. Can any one take credit for what the Lord has done? God has a plan for all of us. So he did with Mary and so he did with others. Luke chapter 1. God is awesome. Your words will come back to hurt you.

What are you talking about.

every man is a sinner.

"the bible says the wages of sin is death" basically the punishment of being sinful is hell

Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive our sins.

If you believe in him you will be saved and go to heaven.

you believe by, admitting to Jesus that you are a sinner and you need Jesus to save you.

Ask him to be your lord and Savior, ask him to come into his heart.

the bible also says

That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

Please find a New International Version bible, or a New King James bible and start reading.

and about the virgin birth.

It means that God impregnated Mary, (she didn't half to have sex to become pregnant.

and no that doesn't mean God had sex with Mary so don't say it.

Not by a long shot. Thats fornication, and that is spoken out about in both the old, and new testament, but Mary had to be a virgin untouched by men to be Sanctified (put aside for a holy purpose), and that was to bring Jesus Christ into the world, as put upon her by Holy Spirit(the active force of God).

virgin birth isn't real. it's impossible. probably just a misunderstanding as desciribing mary as pure, LIKE a virgin (er, most). i'm still convinced most of the bible was made up and whatnot, so whatever.

God does not require us to understand everything about the virgin birth of Jesus, except that it truly happened; and it happened for you, and for me, and for every human being which ever lives upon this earth. So that He could save our soul from sin by his blood that He shed on the cross of Calvary. We may not understand everything about that event also, but we had certainly better believe in it. For it was the blood of Jesus which saves our soul from Hell; and the only thing that will ever save our soul from Hell. That would be my main concern; making certain that I have been washed in the blood of Jesus, and that I am prepared to meed Him when He returns for us; which will not be very far away in the future.
