Do you ever feel like you don't have anyone to talk to? You try talking to your family about your friends, but they either don't care or don't really help? And when you try to talk about your family with your friends it's the same thing? I mean, I'm not really getting along with my family right now, and I'm not entirely sure why, but I really want to call my friends and tell them how I'm feeling. But I know I can't do that because they wouldn't understand or care.

I feel like the only person I can "talk" to is myself!

If you've ever felt like this, what have you done?

At times like that, sometimes it helps to put your thoughts in a journal.... that way you can go back a little later & analyze things....

Honey I feel for you, I am going through the same thing and feel very a lone. I live with my Dad he doesn't talk my Mom and I get a long but she lives far away and her apt, is too small to live with her. My 2 older sisters and younger brother I don't talk to much 2 live out of state. I can't call my friends cause they never are home or able to talk or are out so I have been writing down my feelings on my Yahoo notes where my Yahoo e mail is.I am always there for them but they are not for me.
If you'd like to talk and need an e mail pal,I am a female over 30 years old and I am a good listener. You can click on my avatar photo of the owl and on the upper right hand side is where you can email me.
Good luck!

I used to be a very shy girl and used to hardly talk at school and I felt really lonely and had really low self esteem, but over this last year I have opened up to people a little more. It has been hard but I have found a place in the world where I actually feel I fit in.....yay! =D Just be yourself and I'm sure people will like you for the person you are. =D

It's hard to talk to people you know cuz your around them all the time and sometimes you don't feel comfortable letting them know what is goning on in your life.

I've been there many times and know the way all that stuff goes. IF you feel it appropriate my profile will allow e-mail. I I'm not some wierd guy tring to meet people online I've gotten ust to people comint to me for help. So if you want to contact me I work all night so I'll be up. I really hope everything works out for you.

If what you need to talk about is not serious then write it down or research it. If it's a serious matter than go to a councilor at school or professional office. If its in between I find that a pet helps. Dogs, amazingly will pick up your feelings and react accordingly. If your sad they will lick your face and lay on your lap. If your frustrated they will try to distract you. Always a friend when you are in need.

I've never had a situation about this but it seems like you don't have "real" friends
see, if your friends don't care about your feelings then that means they aren't good of a friend
and if they don't understand then a good friend would try to understand and try to help them feel better
I think you need new friends... I'm just saying

I have felt that way. Either I talk to them anyways, or I just keep it to myself. But it hurts to feel that way doesn't it? I guess I really don't have a solution to your problem. I know it feels like they don't understand or want to hear about your problems. I keep a diary where I can vent and that makes me feel a little better. I hope it works out for you soon.

All the time. I'm a very good listener, and I usually end up just listening to someone else rattle on and on and I can't get a word in, then they just up and say, "oh, I gotta go. goodbye" on the phone.
Then when I need to talk something over with someone, I feel like there's nobody that I have that "listening" thing with, and I end up talking to myself about it and that does me no good.

That is so normal and you have to just figure out to do what works best for you, everyone is different

I myself will try to take a walk or when it is nice I go to the park with my kids and go on the swings and look at the clouds and that always seems to make my family crap so small and irrelevant

I feel like that all the time. I don't really know how to help, though - I never found a way to talk to anyone who understands.

I ahve felt like that before. As hard as it might be, try talking to someone. If your friends are really your friends, they will understand, and no matter what happens, your family will always be there for you. Feel free to email me if you want to talk.
