is not deplicted as a black man and his doctrines where "adjusted" to fit Judaism (to be said to be "white") and not to tell that he was the divine babe prophesized by a priest around the 4th dynasty of Egyptian civilization ? Of all that is written in the language (Aramaic) of the Apostles and Jesus, even in Arabic, plainly Jesus was not white and was from Galilee, a gentile. (Matthew 4:15) Galilee had once been an extention of the Egyptian Empire. Black people being oppressed even to this date in some places, why is truth marred by untruths on what Jesus looked like ?

My question is meant to find out what is known by the ones on here and to see if many know that COLOR had alot to do with whether his doctrines would have embraced a "following." The early churches did alot of this as PR work.....

Why is it people of religion always think everything is a "fight" or a "battle ?" Do you honestly THINK the Lord in heaven NEEDS you to defend him ? How vain can you get.

He was the same colour as those who were pushing his barrow - the sales representatives selling his message.
The god and jesus thingy was always seen in the image of the beholders, not the image of the manufacturers.

Jesus was a Jew from Galilee. He looked Mid Eastern, similar to the way an Arab or Jew from the area look today.
Christians claim the Book of Isaiah to be the source of the prophecy of the coming of the Messiah. What evidence do you have about this Egyptian prophecy?
Galilee was also an extension of the Babylonian, Persian and Macedonian Empires. What does this have to do with the origins of Jesus?
If you're so sensitive to what Jesus looked like, you need to pick your battles more carefully. Christians today don't place his appearance above his physical appearance, as far as I know.

NO that's not the reason Jesus isn't depicted as a man of color...He came to live among all people, and to love everyone and show them that...it had nothing to do with racism...not everything has to do with racism or not...we should be so lucky to have the same opinion as He had for the world...there'd be no more fighting over skin color...there is nothing on the outside of any human that can make them liked or disliked...it's all in the heart/soul of man that causes emotions for all things good and bad...

Why believe on the black image made by the carpenter as the image of Jesus Christ.Nobody could make the t rue image of Jesus nowadays and the truth is that those images are only made from the false imaginations of the carpenters who made that picture of Jesus.Do you know that it is prohibited by God to make graven images in His place and worship it. Worshipping images and statues are belief of the catholics who is not a true christian and true religion.

Jesus was Semetic, just like pretty much the rest of the middle east. Egyptians are typically Semetic, not black. The depiction of him being white are from white artists (imagine that) who created the works only a few hundred years ago. And I can hardly say that a few hundred years of oppression can really compare to a few thousand.
BTW, what does it matter what race he was?

What Jesus did or did not look like is way beyond the point. His appearance means absolutely nothing to His Message and His Mission. To get hung up on the discrepancies in how human beings who were born decades and even centuries after Jesus' death chose to depict him, to cast doubt because Jesus is said to have been this or that is simply a trick of The Enemy to confuse and disrupt the Faithful. This means nothing but can be used to trick and ensnare many into salvation stealing doubt. Get thee behind me, Satan.

NO! Jesus was depicted as a "white" man by artists of various cultures -- some of whom never saw any other people of "other" racial tendencies ( but later that changed) . In truth he would have looked like a Jewish male with dark short hair, dark (but still considered whiteish) skinned man from Bethlehem... yes... that's right: very nearly Iranian or Iraquian... and... you guessed it, he would not have worn anything but Jewish garb, including the head wear.

The Bible says that Jesus Christ was olive skinned. No other dipiction of Him is in there. If you are reading something else into it maybe. He came to save the Jews and then everyone else that wasn't Jewish. Which would be thr Gentiles. I don't see any black, yellow , green. white. just the Jews and the non jews. Don't try to turn the Bible into a format for racism. God didn't design it for that!

No one knows what Jesus looked like. The Bible is noticably quiet on this. No where will you find a description of him except in revelation where he is described, but not his facial features. I believe the reason is that everyone wants to believe that Jesus looks like them. In china he is chinese, in Africa he is black, in America white, in mexico, brown. I believe God planned it this way so that everyone could have a personal relationship with a God who is familar to them. More than likely he had curly hair, no beard (beards were for married men) was brown ( jews are more tanned in color), with a roman nose. Probably brown eyes. Other than that, does it matter? Does what you look like matter to God? No! He sees your heart. That is all you have to worry about. Who cares what Jesus looked like. What does your heart look like?

Regardless of whether Jesus is white, black, or what color He may be, He still loves every single one of us, and gave his life for every one of us. We every one should be eternally thankfully to Him for all that He has done for us. Unless He had gone to the cross at Calvary for us, we every one would spend eternity in Hell. He appeared to me one time, and He was white. But that was not what made the difference. It was the fact that He loved me enough to appear to me and show me some things that I certainly did not understand, was what really mattered. Let us ever be thankful unto Him for all that He has done for us. And He is coming back to the earth very soon; very soon. I know this because of the fulfilling of his Holy Word, and also because He told me that He was coming soon. So I advise every person who has not already done so, to get their heart in right relationship with God. Ask Him to forgive you for their sins, and wash you in his blood. You will never regret it.
