Please don't do the "Look at the Universe thingy, that everything seemed to be in balance, that the condition is so ideal for human survival on Earth but not other places, that myriad of intricate lifeform co-exist flawlessly.......therefore, there must be a creator argument"

That argument only can be use on those already on the verge of embracing a belief for reason best known to themselves.

Mostly they are those in depression and in need to alleviate their suffering by a superior being. You see, they want to believe. That's the key to those having unwavering faith in God is, they want to, and not because there's incontrovertible truth about God.

Stop indulging in self denial my frens.

Giving money to built churches is just a waste of resources which is more beneficial spent on feeding those homeless kids in Somalia.

I dislike the word "proof". Only in mathematics are there proofs.

The correct word to use here is "evidence" - and for God, there is none.

I like how you said they are depressed and so need God as a crutch. Because, ironically, a misconception of atheists is that we're all depressed! :)

Even if you do not believe God exists we may recognize that all beings and all things are somehow governed by some kind of universal or cosmic laws.

If you agree about this then what more can we learn about these cosmic laws?

Of course, we need to do whatever we possibly can to end starvation in the world through vegetarian food relief. No one should starve and we can't leave anyone out of the plan.

Building a church may certainly be second to feeding those who are starving.

Are you a caring person?

Let's assume God is a person. Could He also be caring? Perhaps He and you have something in common.

*Giving money to built churches is just a waste of resources which is more beneficial spent on feeding those homeless kids in Somalia. *

I agree with you here, which is why I do not give a tithe but put my money into pet charities where I know religious groups are not serving people to "save" them.

The Prof that GOD exists rests inside yourself. We are all born spiritual and with a self-knowledge that we should seek our creator.

But seriously how could you NOT look at the world around you and marvel at your creator?

I consider myself a Christian(ha ha although a lot of so called Christians do not!). But I believe in universal reconciliation. We were all saved the instant Christ sacrificed himself for us...nothing more we need to do. Christ's blood is so powerful that not one person will be left behind.

Is there a hell? If there is I believe it is a place to show how far removed from GOD you are...not an eternal punishment. A loving GOD would not condemn any of his children to ETERNAL torture.

So question away...see ya in heaven :)

What if this thing so many of us call GOD was really just an infinite energy source? One that everything we could imagine was a part of. Do you think that belief would still be needed if you knew that anything and everything exsited because of this energy? For me coming to a realization that everything I could imagine was made from molecules and atoms (ENERGY), and seeing that numerous religions claim their gods to be the ALPHA, the OMEGA the only "true god" I could then begin to see how perhaps all religions were 'true' in the sence that god is an energy form a very creative energy form and perhaps this energy is what so many of us humans call god, out of a lack of understanding exactly what god is.

I am actually puzzled as to why you asked this question in the first place. Most people would ask a question in the hope that someone would be able to give an answer to enlighten them. You however, have asked a rhetorical question because at the moment, your mind and heart are so set against God that no amount of proof would ever be enough for you.

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14:1

There is no absolute proof that God exists, in the same way there is no proof that he doesn't. You have to have faith. The reason people question God's existence is because of the evil in the world. If you really want some evidence to go on though, there is absolutely no way that the universe could have just started itself. You could say to that "well how did God create himself," but religion acknowledges that you have to have faith without understanding at times. Science is supposed to be pure and unquestionable, but it provides no explanation for the creation of the universe.

Why are people so obsessed about knowing if God exists or not? Blind faith is what you need. Also why do you need proof you don't believe? That just goes to show that you do believe but just want proof! Figure it out yourself and don't think there is an easy way to get there. Our journey to God is through ourselves and not following the rest of the herd.

God is just a figment of the human beings imagination originally created by poor people with under developed intelligence.
Anything they seen they couldn't find a reason for or understand they developed a God for it. Nothings changed because most people are still too primative to think any better. Human beings are still very primative.

Okay, so God appears before you, and offers three forms of ID as proof of his existence, or whatever you require. Then he whips out a pistol and blows his brains out - so you absolutely know there is no longer a God. Then what? You'll still enjoy life, or fear death, or at least want some money to do what needs to be done. And you'll still act in the way you believe is right. Right?

Do you believe that there was a man by the name of Jesus of Nazareth who existed some 2000 years ago? Do you believe that He is God in the flesh? He is the proof that you are looking for.

Just think. How come that the Roman Empire embraced Christianity in the fourth century and made it at its state religion? Christianity must have started by someone, somewhere, sometime.
