Actually, scrap the sin part, that's a matter of belief, and everyone's entitled to their own.

The question is:

When incest is committed, the offspring reportedly have abnormalities, right? (I wouldn't know for real, cos I've never tried it)
Well, does that mean that if EVERYONE committed incest on a regular basis, and had lots of kids who also committed incest, the genetic difference would be so great that we'd turn into a world of mutants, like the X-Men?

Disgusting thought, but still. Food for the brain

Thoughts, please, Ladies and Gents

Right.. I'm beginning to understand now.

I've never given genetics any thought before, so I never researched it.
I knew we were naturally hardwired to reject our own, but until now, Nature's reasons were never clear to me.

So now I have my answer, it's about waiting til I can choose a best

Actually, what happens is that people who intermarriage within the same family have slightly higher chance of giving birth to a weak child genetically speaking, it would take a few generations practising incest to give birth to defective children. That's what happened to many ancient civilisation who procreated with a member of the family, a brother, sister, cousin or even parents. It happened to the Incas, to the Egyptians and many other who thought that in such a way they would keep blood pure. It was mostly practised among the royal family members not the people.
The fact is that history has proved that children do not get stronger or smarter but weaker, both physically and mentally. The fact is that the risk increases when there are records within the family of some congenital disease, which the child is more likely to be born with if the parents are closely related. Still, the percentage is practically insignificant, I haven't searched it to be sure but I think it's some 0.3-0.7% mnore of chances.

I was caned as an 8 year old for asking this same question about Noah's ark....

I thought to myself .. Ok .. two of evey animal.. at the time I had been breeding prize winning budgerigars so I was aware of the rules for succesful breeding .... anyway.. then I thought.. hang on.. how many people were on that ark! And that's where I got myself into big trouble... I opened my mouth and asked the question! Just like you, I got a violation notice... only instead of deducting 12 points.. the old nun who was my teacher at the time whipped strips of skin off my fingers and told me that faith was more important than questions.

Sorry for sharing. But I learnt old time religion and now I am an apathetic agnostic. If god existed then he was pretty apathetic about me that day (and many others).

To answer your question ~ The mutations from inbreeding more likely weaken rather than strengthen the species, which is why the old laws about it still prevail. Did you know Wolverine is an Australian? He's a manly man!

If you believe in the bible we're all derived from Adam and Eve. And throughout the Bible incest is the only logical way for people and any other animals to have originated.
We are all derived from incest if you were to go back far enough through our original existance.

But now we are supposed to be more advanced in our thought level so its no longer practised as the main form of reproduction.

Incest does increase the chance of genetic mutations, and reduces the gene pool in your family line if practised persistently. The Royal families of Europe used to have a problem with blood not clotting years and years ago because they were so inbred. It could result in bleed out, sometimes happening when a girl first had their period.

The bith defects produced by inbreeding are detrimental types of changes and the offspring would be less likey to be able to survive. It would NOT be a pretty sight to see after a while and most offspring would die very soon after birhth.

for each physique that has desperate that this individual ought to "kill" her infant, think of roughly this: whilst Adam and Eve have been concieving infants and our Earth became multiplyied via "cousin's" and "fathers with their daughters" there became no longer something incorrect with that. you won't be able to decide the guy finding out to have the newborn or no longer. i'm of course thoroughly against abortion. My mom had my sister who's a consequence. I could desire to assert that sure she has some sort of incapacity (she is slow and each from time to time obdurate headed), yet does not all human beings have some sort of incapacity? I advise think of roughly it? something we do could be seen a incapacity. in my opinion no, I say which you should definately pray to God for this answer because of fact getting the respond from this website can probable reason the incorrect decision to be made! i will say i think extremely some judgement approximately "incestual" being pregnant's here the place to be truthful, all and sundry this is a relative in some distant way or yet another. i understand that bringing God into this looks harsh yet think of roughly it, once you're a Christian, Muslim, Jew or the different God fearing faith, interior the scriptures, it talks approximately how we are all religious brothers and sisters, and that we've been fruitfull, to do it any way available. God commanded us. If he comes to a decision which you should no longer have the newborn, he will make that decision for you and probable take your infant to heaven with him. I convey regret if i'm offending others yet i do no longer think in abortion in spite of if the newborn ought to be retarded. there are maximum of mothers and fathers accessible with infants who do have defects that this one piece of information can no longer coach it incredibly is a robust reason to no longer have the newborn. To the guy who is going via this poor tragedy, I advise in seek of God for education first and additionally making an appointment with a counselor or therapist to communicate any added injury this could reason to the guy.

I doubt we would have the extraordinary powers of the x-men. Maybe deformed faces, more diseases(Read a book on genetics) and a host of other problems cause by it. It is also against many religions.

We all descended from Adam & Eve.

Therefore all of us are brothers and sisters.

We are commiting incest every single time we have sex.

No wonder the Human Race is so dysfunctional.

Way to go GOD!
