I have slight astigmatism, and in the graduation ceremonies I have seen people in west point wearing glasses.

Should I wear contacts during the exam?

If I wear glasses will they test me with them on?

Are they strict about eyesight?

I am really qualified (grades, fitness, health)

I just don't want to be unaccepted for a simple NATURAL thing called astigmatism.

If you wear contacts, you have to wear glasses for several days BEFORE your eye exam (it tells you this in the medical information packet). Then, you'll have to wear issued glasses during Beast (cadet training during the first summer) but afterwards you'll be allowed to wear contacts.

Exceptions to this will be things like training with gas (because the gas can get stuck behind your contacts and make you blind).

Nystagmus, other than "end point" nystagmus, is disqualifying for enlistment and appointment, including West Point.
