if you are eating 3 meals a day it could be making your metabolizom slow down try eating 6 meals a day it helps speed your metabolizom and you will loose weight if you eat the right foods in small proportions do more cardio and make sure that your doing egnough reps in your exercises , if you want to loose weight and tone up you need to do 15-20 reps of leight weight per exercise by being put on a diet that someone else gave you you may actually be eating more than you used to without realizing it , eat 3 small meals a day and 3 healty snack like trailmix nutrigrain bars energy bars and beef jerky also if you start really craving sugar eat something with sugar in it your insulin could be reacting badly to a diet with no sugar in it and that will definatly make you gain weight do not eat or drink anything for 24 hours before your Doctors appointment and have your blood sugar levels checked insulin make you gain weight pick up a copy of womens health or go to there web site and they have a book thats something like a full body plan for women look for it and buy it . But anyway I hope someof this helped and be sure to get your sugar levels checked . Hope some of this helped

Stop whining. It could be a lot of factors. However, if you want the best answer see a physician or dietician. If you are over 30 it is a known fact that your metabolism slows down a lot more than under thirty. Plus it could be muscles as well. If your are working out, are you working out the right way. Just because you have a personal trainer doesn't mean he/she is an expert. Anyone can get a personal training liscense.

Stop getting depressed. Here are some possible explanations for your weight gain.
- muscle weighs more than fat. a lot of people dont know this but when you work out, it is possible to gain weight. It just depends on how cardio vs. weight lifting you do. If you lift more weights, you gain more muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.

Do more cardio. This will help burn the fat and you should see some muscle tone. Also, working out has other benefits that extends your life span. This is more important superficial part of it.

It's muscle hun and the fat lays on top of the muscle so whatever fat was there is probably just being more defined by the muscles growing underneath!! It's all good! I would take up the treadmill to help shed some of those extra areas of chub you don't want..it works wonders.

fat goes away slowly, muscles builds quickly, you are over training. I'd slow down a bit on the training, and modify your diet a bit, you need at least three ounces of meat a day, preferably breast of chicken or fish, you need eight servings approx. two ounces each of fruits and veggies, and you need 2 liters of water daily. Keep your balanced caloric intake to 1200 calories daily, and you will see the fat disappear a bit quicker. But do remember, muscle weighs more than fat and builds quicker than fat goes away, so don't despair, just alter your routine a little.

You were too thin and gained muscle. By the way, vegies and fruits are full of carbs and sugars, and yourbody NEEDS these to work properly. stop the dieting, and just eat normal, healthy meals. check the national food guide for how much you should be eating and what

No carb diets are very bad for your body. Whenever you cut out a food group it messes you up and makes you gain weight. You need to eat whole grains. What you're gaining that looks like fat could be water weight.

One thing i know is that your whole body works like one big involuntary muscle. like your heart and your lungs do. you don't control your heart it beats on its own as a means of survival. well your body works the same way. your body only has 2 sources of energy fat and muscle. now fat is the bodies best source of energy so it wants to hold on to it and since it take energy just for your body to hold on to muscle your body Naturally wants burn it off first so that it can save the better source of energy for last (the fat). it is all a means of survival. if you have ever dieted and gave up on the diet only to get even fatter than you were its because your body is saying to itself, man my #1 source of energy is depleting i better stock back up incase it happens again. I found this information in the most amazing program i have ever read!!! the Optimum Anabolics Program. i was shopping on the web at this site Planetsavings.com and clicked on the link at the bottom left of the site and i am so glad i did it the most amazing info you should check it out for yourself. hope this info helps you as much as it did me. also as far as the getting a little fat in certain areas, its ok. when you work out, exercise and eat healthy your body natually has its ups and downs. its nothing to worry about just make sure you stick to guns and keep at it!!!!

Muscle weighs more than fat. Since you're getting in shape, the extra weight is probably just muscle.

You're probably adding muscle mass...

As far as "seeing fat you didn't have before" - you're probably fairly young and your body is filling out and giving you the curves of a woman (which is a good thing!)

What kind of work-outs are you doing?? ...are you eating properly? If you're doing a lot of swimming - your body could be putting on some fat to increase your bouyancy and help regulate your temperature. If your body is in "starvation mode" -- then it starts to hoard calories and fat.

Talk to your doctor and let him know your concerns... odds are, you're "normal"
