As long as it's been in a covered container and in the fridge, it should keep for well over a year. Whipped margarines will start to weep water, but they're still fine to use. I lost track of a container of whipped/sof margarine in the back of my fridge for over 1 1/2 years and it's fine. Stick margarine wrapped in the wax paper or foil keeps even longer than the whipped/soft margarines.

Normally, I've never had margarine go bad. To be honest, I think as long as you keep it in the fridge it'll last till you use it. Like Mayo, Mustard, Chocolate Syrup. Etc...

Hard to say since it depends upon how you stored the margarine... The package usually has a sell by date which is usually 3 months.

Till it walks out on it's own....

Actually Margarine is primarily oil, so has an almost indefinate shelf life as long as it doesn't go through constant extreme tempature changes.

I've never had to throw margarine out before, so I'd say it lasts indefinitely [within reason] if kept refrigerated.
