I've had 2 dreams this month where I have been chased by bees.

The first dream was a SWARM of bees. I was sleeping and they came out of my sleeping bag and started chasing me. My family didn't help in this one.

The second was only 2 bees. I had attracted them on a walk. My dad shooed them away when I got back.

I know about the whole 'hard work and diligence' thing that bees are supposed to stand for in some interpretations, but I wanted to see what other people thought.

I think the bees signify you have too many, way too many little things going on in your life. A sign of the times. No big deal.
Your father has always tried to help you with this. Sometimes he can sometimes he is too busy.

As you have suggested, the bees are a symbol or a metaphor, and could be of personal significance rather than the general symbolism of "hard work and diligence". The wide array of dream dictionaries offer many interpretations, so I suggest seeking your own intuitive sense of what the bees represent. My initial sense was of "boys" who are attracted to you (two followed you and then your dad chased them away). Since bees "sting" (penetrate), they could suggest sexual fears. You feel safe with your father as protector of your chastity (honor). The initial dream of the swarm of bees suggests a phenomenon your parents have no control over, perhaps a surge of hormones. I would tend to interpret these dreams as sexual and coming-of-age with the hormonal surge and the desire for male attention along with the fear of being penetrated. Remember, you will be faced with situations which can spin out of control and result in unintended pregnancy or STDs. Beware of males who are trying to get you drunk so they can take advantage of you, beware of unsupervised parties, just be aware of the problems inherent in your coming of age. Your parents can guide you but only if you allow them to. They will keep you safe until you have control over the impulses that threaten to propel you into recklessness.

Actually bees represent some type of torment which is trying to keep you seperated from achieveing a goal you are looking for. Or, should I say the honey. Bees only attack when they feel they are threatened and because they think you will steal their honey.

Pleasant dreams involving bees mean you are well-organized to succeed in a project. If you dream of being stung by a bee, a group of people is making you uncomfortable in real life.

According to Dreamcrowd:

To see a honeycomb in your dream, suggests that you are trying to hold on to the sweetness and pleasures that you are experiencing in your life. It is also symbolic of your desire for love and affection.
