the only cure for an earache is proper medicine. You're going to have to see a medical doctor. anti inflammatory medication will help a little, but nothing can replace the correct medicine. You can place a heating pad on your ear for twenty minutes at a time. This will give some temporary help.

You may not think it's serious right now, but if it's an infection and you don't treat it, it can get really serious and even rupture your eardrum. The longer you wait the harder it will be to treat, and there are few things worse than a really bad earache at 3 a.m.

I know of two things that will work unless it is an ear infection.
1. Clean with a q-tip dabbed in hydrogen peroxide, then put a little drop in your ear for 15 min..then clean again.
2. Have someone blow smoke into your ear...the tar will make wax dissolve/dislodge to allow pressure release.
Most ear pains are caused by a flu sympton.

If you have time all you have to do is take so pain killers, put some cotton balls in your ears, and go to sleep, worked for me when I was younger, used to get earaches all the time.
