I answered this before so I will just post what I already wrote,
All missionary religions are getting popular except Christianity. Bahai Faith for instance is the fastest growing organized religion percentage wise. Islam is growing mainly for 3 reasons.
1 Muslims usually have a lot of kids. 2 Many women convert for there Muslim boyfriends(dating is forbidden in Islam) and husbands. 3 Most converts are from a Christian background and become disillusioned with church and Christianity because of the Trinity and the constant changes within Christianity such as rules and laws.
I converted to Islam because it made more sense than Christianity which I was following previously. I ended up leaving Islam and I'm studying Judaism right now

Islam means peace, and does not advocate violence.....ther is a saying.....killing one innocent person is like killing whole of mankind. Also Quran says : we created you into nations and tribes so that u may know one another.In war during the Prophet Muhammad's time in battle (all defensive wars) the instructions were NOT to harm or kill non-combatants,destroy trees or pollute water. People who have really understood the real Islam....peace,justice,compassion for all are reverting to Islam (we are all born muslim) but parents teach other believes.But our innerbeing keeps searching for the truth and light and we then revert to Islam. Alhamdulillah, many are seeing this light and therefore Islam is the fastest growing faith now. Allah knows best.

The basis of islam isn't violent and wrong.It is much the same as every other religion.Be faithful to God,be good to your fellow man etc etc...Extremists have taken it upon themselves to persecute other religions seeing them as unfit for belief therefore satanic much the same way christianity went about converting the world to the true faith all those years ago.If people lived by the fundamentals of all religions the world would be a much better place!

B/c not all Muslims are violent and the ones that are believe that they are doing for Allah and will go to paradise for it. Islam is the way of life that's why it is the fastest growing faith in the world!!!

It isn't. Islam is half the size of Christianity and while growing at a larger percentage is not growing as fast by actual numbers.
There are more new Christians added to the world population than any other religion on earth every day. This data makes the entire discussion about "rates of growth" irrelevant. The fact is today, that Christianity is the fastest growing religion on this most critical basis. This may change, but today, in 2004 AD, Christians take the prize for being the fastest growing religion.
On none of the 6 continents are Muslims the fastest growing religion.
That Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world is pure myth at best and at worst a deliberate deception of solid statistical facts.

THANK U !! it IS the fastest growing faith in the world.. because it is the true thing... it is the best religion ever.. no offence to anybody... or any religion.. because i do respect all religions.. but islam is the last religion sent from GOD to human kind... it is the continuation of the previous religions... i just wish people weren't stubborn ... and would take a look at the bigger picture.. islam is not violent... its the FEW people who use islam as a mask to all the violence they do....
the word islam itself means peace....

Who says Islam is inherently violent? There are normal people who practice Islam and their are crazy people who make the religion about hatred of other people and violence. The part that's growing is probably the non crazy Islam. Also, the world is a screwed up place with tons of screwed up people, just because lots of people are making a decision doesn't mean their not crazy just cuz there's a bunch of them.

One-- it's not.
Two-- humans are violent, have you read the Bible? Bad things catch on better than good things.
Three-- not all of Islam is bad, like every religion there are a few bad people that ruin it for everyone.

You ask this question under the pretext that Islam is violent; in all reality it is not. A select few have hijacked our religion and twisted it. Islam comes from the word s'lam meaning peace.

God and religion is just a figment of the human beings imagination originally created by poor people with under developed intelligence.
Anything they seen they couldn't find a reason for or understand they developed a God for it. Nothings changed because most people are still too primative to think any better. Human beings are still very primative.
Simple people with simple beliefs.
