The carpet in my bedroom is burgendy, and id like to paint my walls but im not sure what color because my bedding is baby blue with red and pink roses on it. I'm thinking of painting the walls light blue but i think that might match to much. What do you think would be a good color?

If i were you I would choose a very soft pink to complement the burgendy carpet. In this way the walls and the floor will blend together to make the room appear more "seamless". I'm afraid light blue would cut the room up somehow. If you can afford new bedding, choose something you love with a little burgendy and another color from the bedding for the walls. Gold?

A nice warm ivory...creamy-beige with a hint of pink... go to a paint store and get some 'chips' [sample cards with colors] from the lineup that includes your burgundy carpet color and go to the light end of the samples...there's where you'll find warm-cream-beige that's light enuf to set off and blend nicely with the carpet and not fight with the florals. "Plain white" would knock your eyeballs out with all the other colors, so try for a color-keyed neutral that has overtones of the reds & pinks underneath.

i could bypass with a mushy gray coloration on your partitions. you are able to tone down the brilliance of the purple carpet with a small area rug with a grey and white trend. Silvery/gray bean bag chairs for interpreting an traveling with a pal will tie all of it together!

I would go with a beige - like the color of sand. It will match any of those colors, and it will look elegant.

You also have a lot of color going on, and you need to ground the room or it will be overwhelming.

I think you should stick with a neutral such as almond. Blue would be too much.
