If you have gone to the YMCA camps yourself, you can be a junior counselor at age 14. If you haven't been to YMCA camp, you probably have to wait until 16 or older. The best way to find out for sure is to call the YMCA near you and ask.

All teen counselors are volunteers, and have to pay a camp fee.
The only employees at the camp have to be over 18.
