I really want to feel his presence. I wan't to feel at peace and like he's always there. I pray every night to ask Him to come live in my heart, but nothing ever seems to change. No stupid jokes please. This is serious.

Sister, it must be frustrating to you to have asked God to reveal himself to you and not have received an answer. May I ask what you were expecting?

There is a story in the Bible about Elijah. He was also looking to experience God's presence. But I think that he was looking for something overwhelming. The Bible says that a large wind passed, but God was not in the wind. Then the ground shook, but Elijah could not find God in the earthquake. Then the Bible says there was a gentle whisper and God was in the whisper.

The Bible promises when we ask God to enter our life he will be there. So the truth is God is already with you. Trust him and listen for the gentle whisper of his voice within.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would teach us God's word and remind us of what he said. So ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you read the Bible. When you are looking for guidance, listen and you will hear the voice of God remind you of his truth.

I will also pray for you this evening. But remember this - God loves you and will never abandon you. You will not always feel his presence but he will never abandon you.

By the way, even your name godislove says that He is already in you. :-)

God bless you sister,

Pastor John

I would say before you read in the Bible everyday ask God to send the Holy Spirit to reveal the meaning to you. Meditate on His word as much as day and night as you can manage and throughout your day take a little time out just to thank God for all He has already done in your life and worship Him for the awesome creator He truly is.
Remember He is a God of Faith and you will always have to use your Faith to know He is there. Even though God is, was and always will be in my life, There are many times I don't feel His presence but that is because I am not in the spirit. But without a single doubt He is with you this very second. To feel His presence go to a quite room read a little out of Matthew,Mark,Luke or John and focus on Jesus standing beside you. It takes effort on our part to feel His presence, but He never leaves nor forsakes us. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

The fact that you are praying every night is evidence that he already does live in your heart. Keep praying sister. I have been serving the Lord for many years now and there are times when he speaks to my heart and other times he does not . Just because he is not speaking to your heart right now does not mean he will not in the future. Trust him . This might be a trial of your faith. It might be something else. But one thing is for sure, God has very good reasons for everthing he does. Stay faithful, keep praying and read your Bible. No matter how long the dry spell lasts, stick with it and wait on God.

Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

God bless you, I am going to pray for you right now. Cap'n Arlo

You can learn a lot about God by looking at his creation. Watch the sun set tonight. This is going to sound hokey, but I really love animals. When my little cat gets up on my lap and purrs, I feel so grateful that these animals were created. And, you can study the life of Jesus. He was a perfect reflection of God, our Father. The Bible says that God is unsurpassed in wisdom, power, justice and love. Then it goes on to say that God is love. I'm not a JW, but I've studied with them and they helped answer many questions. I still feel as if a veil was lifted away from my eyes. Don't be afraid of JW's. You sound as if you are humble enough to learn and that you are ready to learn. Just keep your mind open. Hope this helped a little.

i sometimes feel when i feel like chill all of the sudden. I mean by chill is like im just standing on church floor when we were singing "Here i am to worship" because it said "i'd never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross" it wasnt about temperature that got me chill. it was that i realized or reminded again and i felt His presence by the chill on my face, arm, or body.

I would say read Bible and realize that it is so true that you are sinner because you did something wrong in God's eyes just as all other "true"(this means: not just going to church on sunday but "carrying cross daily") Christians have realized and have repented. From that, they live better and respected lives. When you pray, pray sincerely with all your heart, mind, and soul.

Let me conclude: Pray sincerely, Read Bible, search God, and realize.

First of all know that God is real busy right now getting ready for his return
Pray now as much as you can for God to give strength to his followers they need it now more than ever.
God loves you very much trust him.
Show God that you can be trusted to be faithful no matter what happens.
You will definitely feel his presence when he starts using you.
How will you know he is using you?
When you find yourself having to help others cope with what is going on in this world. Keep praying a lot, searching for opportunities to help others I find them everyday.

ASk the Holy Spirit to bring the Risen Jesus into your heart and converse honestly with Him, the Christ and Incarnate God of Eternal Love, as Your Lord and savior, friend and confidant.
Don't depend on passing emorions
Ask Him to help change your life to live it for ,in and with Him.
Life is Christ is a whole process of growing in grace and taking the Cross to follow Jesus.
Expect ups and downs, comfort and challenges.

If you are a christian you are a new creation, another words you have a new spiritual man. You have to feed the spiritual man just like you have to feed the flesh body. The spiritual mans food,is the Word of God. You must read it with understanding. I would recommend that you also read The two natures in the child of God,by bullinger. That will explain it better. It is avalible on the internet.

If you want to find God then stay away from Christians and all other organized religions, they are full of hypocrits and have a history of evil.

I think the serious answer is be open to receiving him but stop trying to force it. He's not a pill you know, something you can drop and in 15 minutes you feel better.. I understand its serious but why so urgent?

As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you. Since you have accepted Jesus, then study the Bible. Read John, and the rest of the New Testament. Also worship Him. In worship is when I really feel His presence. This is because He inhabits our praise.
