I have no idea.

Except that many Christians have the idea that "original sin = sex", which is a false teaching. So they have trouble with the idea that Jesus could have been sexual person.

Why, when you type in a question, are you so opposed to the idea of LOOKING AT ALL THE SIMILAR QUESTIONS??? I've seen (and answered) this same EXACT question half a dozen times myself.

IF Jesus had been married, it would NOT have detracted from His divinity in ANY way. But the only "evidence" we have that He was married comes from writings much more contemporary than the Gospels, Epistles, and so forth that make up our New Testament today. And those writings indicate ideas about the Christian faith that are not at ALL in line with the texts we know that were written by actual contemporaries and friends of Jesus. So there is no reason to believe He was married. And He didn't have children, because Isaiah the prophet said that the Holy One would be cut off from among His people for their sin and die without offspring. So what difference does it make?

The bible makes it very clear that he was born to die before the world was formed.
With this in his mind, do you think that he would have entertained the idea that he would get married? To do so means that there is the idea to procreate. That was not on his mind. The children that he would have comes from the new birth of water and the Spirit.
He new this as God in eternity past and once born as a Human being knew that His days on Earth were numbered.

Why are non Christians so preponed to the idea that He was married?
And it does not bother me either way. If He was married, good for Him, if not, thats good too.

I don't believe there is any reliable evidence to suggest that Jesus got married. I suppose it is possible that he was married and widowed before he started his ministry but if he had been married during his ministry, it seems unlikely that there wouldn't be at least one vague reference to his wife in one of the accounts of his life as portrayed in the bible.

I don't know for sure how I would feel if someone discovered incontrovertible evidence that he was married. I don't think it would bother me. Perhaps it would seem to be a bit inconsistent with his teachings about the way men should treat their wives for him to have one that he never acknowledged (that wasn't important enough to be mentioned in accounts of his life). On the other hand, if I was God and I had the opportunity to explore that nature of my creation during the short time I was occupying a human shell, I might want to experience how it felt (as a human) to love someone and perhaps even how it felt to become a father.

That is just the point. Why does the idea of a flesh and blood man picking a woman for his chosen companion incur such wrath from religionists? In the bible, the so called devil attacks the woman in the beginning, and is still roaring out his wrath at her having gotten away in the end or Revelation. He is angry because he knows his time is short! A false gospel is being taught to the world, in that Jesus is coming back to take a man as His Bride. Men just can't over the rejection I guess. It's like rubbing salt in their wounds which will never heal. To bad they're so in love with themselves and have a humongous ego that can't take being turned down for a woman. Reminds me of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The Bible says so. He was never married, the Bible speaks of Peter having a wife and a mother-in-law, if Jesus has a wife then it would be broadcasted. But Jesus was visited by His mother and brethren and thats all.

Assuming that we have Jesus II then his followers would establish an earthly kingdom for him. Throughout the history a lot of son usurp their father's throne. This circustance may not be different.

Besides Josephus a knowned historian never mentioned about Jesus having decendants.

supposedly it would have taken away from the divinity of jesus to 'give in to mortal urges' by marrying because he would be tying himself to this world and thus putting aside his true purpose and mission from heaven. thus, it isn't implying that getting married is wrong, simply that it places a human need before the ultimate goal of teaching and saving the masses.

Maybe He did. But if so, the Bible and other sources kept it a secret. I would imagine if He had been married, he would have placed His wife in His Mother's family. And if there was a child, then he would have carried on in the ministry. So with this, I don't believe Jesus ever got married.

Why are non-believer's so dogmatic about making nothing into something, about "what if's?" instead of what is in black and white? So, I know you say you do not believe in God's Gospel, but you have this need to create your own gospel. Scripture tells us that Jesus was born for "one" purpose and one only................to die for mine and your sins. When Jesus walked this earth He made it perfectly clear that He was here to do His father's will, and every moment was about His Father's business. Jesus loved women because they so loved Him and were faithful to Him when everyone else deserted Him....but Jesus' love was much greater than mere man's today because He died for us. Christians are called the "Bride of Christ." If you have to match Him up with someone, He belongs to us and we to Him.

My sentiments, exactly! I absolutely don't see anything wrong or abnormal about JC getting married at all.

Besides, whether He was married or not, would it have made ANY DIFFERENCE or have CHANGED ANY of His Teachings at all??? Not a single one of them.

In fact, He even reminded everyone the sanctity of marriage itself. "...For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" --Mark 10:7 & Matthew 19:5.

Peace be with you.
