Most people are not aware of the teachings of Islam. Therefore they limit there comments. Christianity on the other hand has a much wider appeal in America and in democratic societies. Most atheists have had some involvement with Christian churches at some point in time in their life.

Those who vehemently seek to discredit Christianity are only validating exactly what the Bible says would happen as we approach the end of time. This discrediting is right in line with Bible prophesy.

Christians have no need to fear. Stand firm with the faith. Know that Christ is coming again as he promised. Don't be deceived by false logic and false scientific theories.
All of this logic is guess work, opinions, conjectures and cannot be "PROVED".

Have faith dear friends in God.

Where have you been? I see some noble defender of the Christian faith asking slanderous absurd questions about Islam every 5 seconds on here.

Personally, I think both religions are ridiculous (in their "exoteric" forms), but I'm free to say that because I subscribe to neither. It's a little laughable when a person who believes that a 2,000-years-dead magical zombie carpenter is God's son starts criticizing people for believing that a 1,400-years-dead camel driver is God's mouthpiece.

Everybody is able to see the absurdities of other traditions when taken "literally," but as a rule they're incapable of applying the same criticism to their own tradition.

If you want to know why more people criticize Christians than Muslims on Y!A, it's because most of us are American, and most Americans are Christians. Christianity is "in our faces" more than Islam (although with the Iraq War and the rise of radical Islamic terrorism, that's obviously changing). It has nothing to do with "liberals trying to be PC."

They do; Christianity happens to be a more popular target here because so many more Christians come here than Muslims, trying to debunk anything and everything that doesn't fit with their narrow interpretation of Christianity. Some Muslims do, too, occasionally--and summarily people ask hard questions about Islam, in turn.

It's a regular love fest around here.

There are some ridiculous questions that try to discredit Islam also. Not as much as the ones targeting Christianism

For me it is like this.
One at a time.
Christianity is the biggest one and is their extreme anti-science position makes them the biggest problem in the USA and because of the strength of USA plus Australia the most dangerous to the world.
Once we can get them reduced a bit we can worry about other religions.
Also I am not familiar enough with Islam yet to point out their major flaws in their dogma.

because Christianity is more well known in the western world. Islam is inherently "foreign" and not much is known about it... people don't like what they are familiar with.. Besides we have been programmed in this country to hate Christianity in the last 50 years...

I live in a society that is predominately Christian, and therefore Christianity affects me much more than Islam.

"People hate Christianity and the bible because it is true.I saw a protestor outside a crusade with a sign "bashing Islam is unchristian".How absurd.NO--Islam is UNchristian.
LIke in public schools "keep religion out",but only Christianity is really all that is left out"

Wooooow that definately deserves a place in the top 10 answers of bigotry.

Absurd questions about Islam are asked all the time. Some pretty horrible ones, at that. It goes in spurts, though.

Lady I don't know where you have been but people ask stupid questions about Islam and Muslims more then Christianity. There are people on here that want to bomb two of our holiest cities Mecca and Medina. They want all Muslims to be rounded up and thrown in concentration camps or those camps that President Ronald Regan made for the Mexicans back in the 1980s. There are people here that even slander our beloved Prophet Muhammad(PBUH*) and our mother Aisha(May ALLAH(SWT) be pleased with her).
