What do you people around the world think of the United States, good or bad?(Maybe one good thing and one bad)

i'v never been to usa.but i think that the american people are not bad.they are friendly and funny.It's happy to be with them.i once heard a friend from USA.when he visited China,he told me that the chinese people are having happy lifes,better than America.I asked him why?America is a dream place for may people,it's far more better than China.He told me that because he think the chinese live happy from their heart.But the American people seem happy,but their hearts are not feeling happy.The american people are not happy.I'm sad to hear this.I hope the Amerian people be happy again.American people are clever,creative and adventruous.I hope you are be yourself forever.Do more good things to the world people.

To answer the first post, other countries have done their jobs leading the world in the past. British, French, Spanish, Ottoman, right back to the Roman, Greek Empire. The 20th century has America up to the plate and we'll see how the 21st goes.

Compared to many other countries with respect to liberty, freedom America is best. Yes, it has had faults and much negativity but she does not lie and cover up her errors like former communist powers before. The Americans are great inventors, innovators and in my opinion, the best business people in the world. It is so funny to see guerrillas in South America to Islamic warriors howling death to America with cans of Coca Cola at their tables.

The main problem I find with not all but quite a few Americans to make one take notice is their lack of knowledge in geography, history and philosophies about other countries and cultures. I'll never forget about 10 or 15 years back when the most second powerful man in the world, Dan Quayle was visiting Central America and apologized to a large group of people for not being able to speak Latin (the language Of Rome 2000 years ago). One also sees from many postings all over the net and media that this knowledge is noticeably lacking. Anyway that is something easily fixed over time within the school systems.

There are good and bad points about it, as you said.
One of the good things about it, restrictly for the people living inside US, is that is truly is the land of opportunities,
And one of the worst, is that it has a hell of a lot of military might, of which it has more than a dozen times ever since its establishment taken advantage for mischievous causes.

one thing is for sure. One cannot be ambivalent towards the USA. Many hate the US, others are jealous, and still others wish to live here.
