By default, Limewire saves it to your (I think, its been a while) My Documents folder, likely under "My Music". You can change this by going to Tools>Options, selecting Saving, and then select the new destinations for each type of file.

Start LimeWire and at the top click TOOLS then OPTIONS then Saving. It will show you where they are going or change it.
Make a new folder in My Documents remane it to LimeWire Files. Then change the saving path
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\LimeWire Files.

Once you've downloaded music, click the "Explore" button at the bottom of the screen OR right-click on a downloaded song, and click "Explore." That should open up a Shared Folder with all your songs in it. Just copy/paste them to your MyMusic folder or something, and delete the ones in the Shared folder.
To make a CD, just pop in a blank disc, and burn with a program like Windows Media Player... obviously, you've got to have burning capabilities on your computer, though.

Make a shortcut to your "Shared" folder on your Desktop.
Usually C:\Documents and Settings\yourname(folder\Shared.
Then open your Shared folder.
Start your Burner software.
Then drag what you want to your burner window.
