A real christian is one who has been saved by the Grace of God. You become a new person. You have a desire to pray, read your bible, and go to church. You live your life separated from this world. You no longer enjoy doing the sinful things you once done. You change the way you talk, the way you dress, the places you go.You will have love in your heart for others. You tell others about Jesus, and how to be saved. You put your faith, and Trust in the Lord.

A real Christian is someone that tries to follow the teachings of Christ, and in today's world I would think it would be extremely difficult to find such a person if not impossible, there is so much hypocrisy in the religious world today I doubt vary much that there is such a person.

If we are a real Christian, we will take what Christ did in His life and try to emulate that to the best of our ability. I don't believe that just believing and saying I am saved is going to do it. We have to show Christ that was accept His gift of grace.

We are all sinners, and unless we try to live right, trust in God, follow Christ's example and repent when we have sinned- that means continual repentance through out life- we can't be called real Christians.

Christ said this about those who follow Him : John 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. To me, this means that you have to live the way Christ would have you live, and follow the example He set for us all.

One who is a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. One that is re borne and puts all the old things of their ways behind them and strives to be like Jesus. One who is proud and not a shamed of Christ. A believer who is Christ like and a servant to those in need; broken, hungry, down trodden ed, has addictions, sick, dieing, widowed, homeless, and in need of a savior to save them. This process takes a lot of molding and remolding and a while, due to all the changing from inside out.

You have to have the Holy Spirit - without the Holy Spirit within you - you really are not saved. The Holy Spirit comes to reside within you - to change you at the moment of salvation - then you will know that you are changed. I pray you find Truth - Jesus Christ - and the Holy Spirit will come upon you dear one. Pray to God and He will answer you - believe in His Son Jesus Christ and have true salvation.

Underwater,
CJ is not completely right. According to John 2 works are a part of the Christian's salvation. We are to follow the New Testament writings. Those include Books written about Christ and HIS New Testament Churches. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

A real Christian is anyone who agrees with me as to what Christianity means. Anyone else is a false Christian and is therefore condemned to eternal torture.

There is no such thing as a "real" or "true" Christian. It's a contradiction in terms-According to Christ they have to be as perfect as God --but then they wouldn't carry a label that separates them from their fellow man.
