Does Pizza Dough Have Yeast

The yeast helps with flavor and giving body and airiness to the dough.
If you don't want the yeast just make an pizza dough recipe and omit it.
Bu omitting it you can just roll out the dough because you don't have to let it rise.
Put on your favorite sauce and toppings and away you go.

Fastest, Easiest Homemade Pizza Crust

Ingredients:

2 c. unbleached all purpose flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 T. baking powder
12 oz. beer
Directions:

Preheat oven to 400.

Combine all ingredients. Dough does not have to rise at all, but will be fairly wet and sticky. Press into oiled cookie sheet (12 x 18" or slightly smaller works well). If it seems too sticky to work with, sprinkle a little flour on it as you pat/press it into the pan.

Top with your favorite sauce & toppings. Bake 20-25 minutes or until dough is browning & crisp around edges.

you need yeast for traditional pizza dough, but if you don't want to deal with it you can just buy premade dough, or a mix that already has yeast and directions, or a pre baked crust

I think pizza dough really needs yeast to make it rise (light and airy). You can buy ready-made frozen pizza dough to save yourself the trouble of making the yeasted dough. Or use pita bread (I prefer wheat) - it's light and also makes great pizza ;-)

No REAL pizza dough.... but I suppose you could use the canned pizza dough (no yeast) or Bisquick (no yeast either).

yeast is something that gives you the light and airy consistencey in dough. With out it you would have very heavy tasting crust. I'm sure there are recipes for alternative recipes without using it, but I think it would compromise the taste.
