I told everyone that my boss gave me a very good annual worker's report. After that I wonder if I should have said it out.

I think if you received a very good report, you deserve to be proud of it. Unless there is a specific rule in the company manual against discussing evaluations, or if the boss told you that the information was confidential, telling a few people in the office is not anything to be ashamed of or worried about. There is nothing wrong with letting others know that you are a good worker deserving of praise.

To be honest, keep those things to yourself in the work environment. Otherwise they'll think you're a show-off or they might think it's unfair and go complain to the boss. What if the boss finds out that you be saying that to everybody? He might be scared to give you another good annual worker's report next time. So be careful what you say at work.

and oh yeah..CONGRATULATION! Keep up the good work.

Good Evaluation, congratulations.
If I were your friend, I would be very happy with your annual review.
If I were your co-worker, I would probably be jealous of your review. Insecure people are everywhere.
These are the ones that will see your actions as:
boasting;
self-centeredness;
egotistical;
conceited;
and maybe even S-A-S-S-Y.
Don't worry, continue to do your best, give you best, be your best. Your Boss will ultimately see how valuable you really are (even if you are labeled all the above and more).
Next time, tell those that love you about your brilliant reviews. They'll celebrate with you. Hopefully they're not one of the "Insecure(s)"

Are we guessing your job title or character? Keep your private info about your reviews to yourself; this is like discussing your pay to everyone. Some folks are going to be offended and go to HR with your info. You'll start a domino effect and then your boss will get wind. Not a pleasant experience.

How did people respond to what you said? If you like, this could give you an opportunity to observe human behavior and learn more about how you affect people by what you say. I think it's always good to be yourself and to be aware of how you affect others. Then you decide how you want to be in the world.
