Since you didn't enclose a picture...I'd try home improvement warehouses. Go to the lumber department. The molding is all in the same place, usually closest to the carpet section. If it is very, very rare, like from an antebellum house, you can visit estate sales or have a woodworker make a replica.

If you have a short piece of it, or at least a picture, then you can go to your local lumber supplier and they will cut it for you. Don't expect it to be cheap, since they have to set up the machine to do a whole bunch or just one piece. But they should be able to cut it for you. good luck.

Please go to a lumber yard that had been there for years, like an old mom and pop lumber yard. Someone will know where to get it, how much, what species, and how long to get it. If you think that it is that uncommon, stay away from the big boxes, waste of your time.
