is there any way that i can retrieve my tax information (gross income) from last year's filed taxes? is there somewhere online i can get all the information from?

You can't look at the info online, but you can request a transcript of your tax return from the IRS.

It will cost you, but you can get the info fast if you are willing to pay. Several services are available that can get a transcript from the IRS for the last few years of returns and ship them to you. Try www.tax9er.com or other authorized provider. I have not used their service myself but have looked into the service and the IRS does use contractors like them to handle the fast requests. It's just a transcript, not a copy of the actual return. You'll fill out an online version of the IRS 4506-T form that they present to the IRS on your behalf and then e-mail you the results. It'll cost you about $30 bucks. If you try it, post back and let us all know how it worked!

You could ask the IRS for a transcript of the 2006 return but that will tax a few weeks to get.
