When I was in the British Army (I left 10yrs ago) we werent permitted to wear uniform on the street for security reasons (IRA threat) and Im fairly certain that if that rule ever changed it would have been brought back into force due to the current hightened alert status so if I were you I would catch up with her and tell her you are going to report her to her CO for poncing around the streets in her kit.
