Will it just keep ringing? Or will it say the number has been temporarily disconnected? or what kind of message will I get? Or what will happen?

I tried to call a guy I've been seeing, and it says, "the number you have reached has been temporarily disconnected." Would this just mean that he didn't pay his bill, or could he have blocked my number from calling him? I've called him before on that same number and got through.

yes, it will tell you that this party does not accept blocked calls...to unblock please dial 1 or something like that....and then you gotta put your real number in it...every provider is a little different....I have all mine go to a voice box....I really don't wanna talk to some ppl, but on the other hand I'm noisy and wanna know who called!!!

It will just say something like this party isn't receiving calls from this number.
If you're calling and you're getting the recording that the phone has been disconnected, then he just hasn't been paying his bill. Like I said before, you'll know if you're number has been blocked. The phone will say that it's not receiving calls from your number.

Yes, someone can block your number from their home phone. Depending on the service, it will tell you that you are blocked, it will not ring ("play dead"), or it will just beep continuously when you try to call.
