Even if you didn't, chances are it traveled downward. Similarly, evolution isn't something to "believe in." Incase you are unfamiliar with the basic definition, evolution is the change of allele frequences in a population over time. This occurs unquestionably, and the THEORY of evolution explains how.

Science is about modification, so keep trying to point out holes in the theory. This does not mean spreading misconceptions and repeating lies, but arguments such as irreducible complexity have furthered our knowledge of evolution. Since I am supposed to ask a question rather than rant the entire time - has there been any recent progress in Intelligent Design, creationism, or any other alternative hypothesises? If so I would be greatly interested in reading about it. And by progress I mean something furthering your theory, not attempts of debunking evolution.

Creationists, I don't think anybody thinks we came about randomly. Natural selection (or "survival of the fittest") is the guiding mechanism of evolution, and naturally discards undesirable traits while selecting for the advantageous traits in a given environment.

We go back to what adam was created from, "dust" right?
We are the seeds of adam.... the single cell
with all the DNA to start a life cycle until death ending in dust.
We know procreation is fact.... we know we go back to dust when we die thats fact.
So this single cell package and all that it will
do is a repiticious cycle and evolution does not in no way is applicable from a single cell
to dust.
If so this cycle cant be evolution, well the answer wouldnt you agree is.
How could dust be formed into a man, wouldnt dust apply to bacteria taking shape
of a 6 foot organism comprised of many functions all to work together and even better this first organism that grew from dirt
now has the capabilities to procreate?
What a freaking accident, how in the world
is it that bacteria is now replicating many
6 foot thinking organisms of different sexes to make more.
I smell definete intelligent design....

The evidence is all around, the facts are there.
Evolution is capatible with scripture.

Disregarding your crass style, let's answer the answer simply. When most people say they don't believe in evolution, what they mean is they don't believe the Theory of Evolution primary dogmatic premise, random selection, the belief that life itself came about from atoms and molecules randomly, and that the human species came about randomly, without the oversight of some Higher Power.

Those of us who believe in that Higher Power (and even scientists like me) are still waiting for science (or would that be "Science" to you?) to demonstrate the reality of changing speciation without a Director.

No new progress on intelligent design.

Doppler. Go read about General Relativity by Einstein and how the curvature of spacetime causes acceleration in spatial directions and then tell me that scientists don't know what the mechanism of gravity is.

Have you ever done the math on random frequency mutations with probability?
We still need 700 billion years to get to where we are today.
Random is just that. Random. Every random change does not necessarily show a positive. If you think it does, you are dreaming.
A specified sequence is programmed.
Programmed by what/whom?
In order to take out the random probability you would have to say it was created in a sequence.
Gosh, will you look at that.
Creationism.

Interesting thing about gravity: it can be observed and measured, but its source is completely unknown to modern science. Scientists just have no idea what the mechanism of gravity is.

Gravity is God's will holding the universe together.

To the gentleman above: that's not gravity, it's magnetism. Different effect.

creationalists...so silly ><
its like. there is PROOF against is but they have their fingers in their ears screaming "LALALA GOD LOVES ME HE WOULDNT LIE TO ME"
><
and this creationalism musium hahaha ><

to correct the answer bellow!
God can't be holding the universe together...because it is PULLING APART! the universe is streching and eventually wound exist :P fool
And scientists know fine well what Gravity is caused by - Mass acting on each other. The greater the mass of one object the more electrons it has, electrons attract. theres gravity

I felt like I have answered THIS question millions of times
(not literally though).
Micro evolution - yes
Macro evolution - no, no evidence of this
