I affirmatively don't belived it. Religion does'nt save you from falling to hell w/c is punishment afterlife. If you are a Bible believer, God strongly stated in John 3:16 that for God so loved the world(people)that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believed (Have Faith)in Him(Christ Jesus) should not perish(fall into hell) but have everlasting life(w/c is in heaven) It has nothing to do with religion or good morale, but it has something to do with your personal conviction and relationship with God. Christ is the way the truth and the life. no one comes unto the Father but by Christ "John 14:6"

It's not about belonging to any religion; it's about accepting the free gift of salvation that God has offered to everyone, in the form of His son, Jesus. Even if you are a good, decent person, sin is a state, or condition, that each and every one of us needs to be delivered from. We cannot do it ourselves, that's why we need a savior. God has thrown out the life line. If you refuse to grab hold of the life ring and let yourself drown, how can you say that God is punishing you when he is trying to save you.

The Bible plainly says that "no one is good", we have all sinned and fallen short of His Glory. This is why it is necessary to believe in forgiveness of our wrongs (sins), that we do against G-d and our fellow humans.
Besides, what I personally think or hold as an opinion on this subject has no bearing. It is all up to G-d and what HE thinks about people. He Will decide who does or doesn't receive eternal life in His Presence, as well as those who will be eternally separated from Him. It does not matter what we think, feel, or believe; it is up to the everlasting Judge of all (G-d) -- His Will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven.

Nope, my religion doesn't say so, and actually says the opposite:
Quran 2:62 "VERILY, those who have attained to faith [in this divine writ], as well as those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Christians, and the Sabians -all who believe in God and the Last Day and do righteous deeds-shall have their reward with their Sustainer; and no fear need they have, and neither shall they grieve."
In my religion (Islam) we are taught that the very thing that can save our souls or hurt them are our intentions, even moreso than our deeds. For example, a rich man may give $1 million with intentions that he's going to have his name in the paper and people are going to praise him. A poor man may give $1 because he knows the meaning of hardship and doesn't want another to suffer. Which do you think is more deserving in the eyes of God?

The Word of God plainly states that whosoever name was not found in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire..Revelation 20:15 This implies that religion saves no one and there is only ONE WAY to get your name or anyone else on God's green earth, written in that book..Being a Muslim won't, being a good person won't, giving everything you own away to the poor won't write it there, Being a monk, Buddhist catholic, baptist, Mormon, Jehovah's witness surely won't write it there. Being punished in the afterlife is the soul's individuals right of choice not to receive Christ in their heart where there is a change of ones spirit being cleansed by the lord himself and when this happens, then, their name is written by Christ Jesus into the Book of life. To reject Christ is ones own right to forfeit God's kingdom and to be separated from God forever. This also includes all spiritualists, soothsayers, those in witchcraft, physic's and those who believe in reincarnation. Which is a lie from hell..There is only 1 way into the Book of Life...So belonging to a religion is also false..Belonging to Christ isn't..

No, I don't. In my religion people are judged by their hearts and their actions, not by what Gods they worship.
The Classical Greeks acknowledged that other peoples would have other gods than they did and those of us like myself who still follow the Gods the Greeks of the Classical period hold to that same belief.

Yes, I believe all those who aren't atheists will be forced to live for all eternity as theists, continually expecting Jesus's return and salvation "any minute now" ! A fate worse than death!

nope. my religion is self honesty and in all honesty i have no reason to believe that people who lie to themselves and therefor to others will suffer punishment after they die.
of course, there are consequences to being deceptive but i imagine all those consequences are encounter during a lifespan ... even if, due to self deception, the consequences aren't noticed as such.

I don't believe eternal punishment has to do with a religion... it has to do with a disposition. The bible teaches that "he who hath the son hath life; he who hath not the son of God hath not everlasting life." therefore I believe that anyone who trusts in their own good or thier own ability to be or do good will suffer eternaly in hellfire and those who have laid thier opinions aside, realized thier sinful state, and embraced the GIFT of eternal life GIVEN BY GOD THROUGH JESUS will all, without exception, live eternaly and have a hope (or I should say in our current use of english, a PROMISE) of one day living with Christ without fear, death, pain, or sin. Not a one of us is an acception according to the Bible. God loves every one of us and wants none of us in hell. If you are reading this, thank you for taking the time to. God does love you, and doesn't want to punish you forever in hell. He already punished Jesus for everything that you've done wrong and is offering you the opportunity to be united with him. He wants you to accept this gift and be free of fear and doubt. God bless
