I would watch that if I were you. The account could be on his behalf.

To Avoid scams here is what i tell people...
All spam emails/unsolicited letters and faxes are scams.
As a general rule - ANYTHING involving Western Union/money gram = Scam.
my Advice: Don't deal with anyone from a foreign country or Accept

checks from strangers and never use wire/bank transfer services.. you

risk losing your $$ and your mind.
Remember, if it sounds too good
to be true, it probably is! NEVER give out your personal information to

strangers online! Always be on guard.

YES it IS a scam.

the way it works is
They send you checks or money orders that are fraudulent

You deposit them in your account and transfer or send them 85-90 percent of the face value of them depending on the scam and keep the rest as your "pay"

The fake money orders and or checks bouce/come back as fake and then YOU are held responsible for not only bounced check fees for them but the ammount you sent to the "guy in Rusia"

A co-worker of mine fell prey to a scam like this and was on the hook for nearly $3500 before it was dound out.

do NOT do this. They may end up with access to the account too and then they will clear out the account on top of everything else too.

Oh, yes, it's definitely a scam. The checks you receive will end up bouncing, and you'll be out the money you have forwarded, although they might send you a few small good ones at first just to make you think they're legit.

Didn't you kind of wonder?
