What? I think you've been taken. There is no half ape half man. Where did you hear this?

Cindy, Lucy was not 'half human, half ape.' That young woman lived, and only briefly by today's measure, millions of years after the evolution of apes and humans split, 3-million plus years ago. As has been explained to the religious zillions of times here, humans and modern apes evolved from a common ape-like ancester, but the time came--millions of years past--when the two took separate paths. No, we are not apes, and we sure as shoot aren't related to monkeys. Often I think Christians know all of this but pretend not to. Surely that is so. Otherwise one would be obliged to posit that our Christian brothers and sisters are in great want of profound cognitive repair.

Actually it fits right in with the Bible. I mean, the difference with Lucy is the skull that has the long jaw bone and the sloped forehead, and that is supposed to mean that she is half human and ape...
The Forehead never stops growing, so according to the Bible the first people lived around 5-9oo years, and since I accept the Bible to be true, and conisder that people lived that long, then I can safely tell you to imagine the forehead after that long, would it be sloped out enough to resemble that?
Same with dinosaurs, but that is a different story...

Umm...I'm not really sure what they think about Lucy, but I really hope no one seriously thinks she is half human half ape. I actually did a report on here when I was in, perhaps, 3rd grade.

She clearly existed. But why does she have to be a "missing link" or disprove the Adam and Eve thing? She could be the skeleton of a human with birth defects. After all it isn't as though we have found hundreds of skeletons just like her or anything. She could also be part of a species that just happened to look like that, but that didn't necessarily evolve into or from anything else. She could be any number of things, but in no way does she disprove Creation.

I don't think Lucy is 1/2 whatever. She was a bipedal primate.
