Yes you're absolutely correct. 1. credit repair agency disputes all the "bad accounts" 2. creditor doesn't respond 3. account gets deleted. HERE'S THE OTHER PART OF THE STORY: 4. Creditor finally does respond and shows proof that the account is yours--BANG--the "bad account" gets put right back on.

I personally don't believe in dealing with repair agencies or counseling agencies, because everything that they do for you is simple; and you can do the same things with a little bit of time and research.

The bottom line is, you can't have a credit repair agency fix anything if what is being reported is actually accurate. Disputing it with letters may take it off temporarily, but once the creditor responds and proves it truly is due, the account goes right back on there.

The letter submission thing does not work too well. It will work to remove an error. It may also work to temporarily get something off of your record, however, there is nothing stopping the creditors from reposting information if they believe it to be true.

I have heard of many credit repair places trying this and charging people for it. If you wanted to do it yourself, it only takes a bit of time and research. You don't have to pay anyone to do it. However, do not expect any spectacular, long term changes.

If you want to fix your credit, you need to just keep your bills paid on time, every time, pay back whomever you owe money too, maintain the use of some types of credit (but not over use). In time, the credit will come back. It is not an overnight thing. Any company that promises you that your credit can be fixed in a short period is pretty much lying to you.

Dude, I told you how to fix your credit. You can run off and try to something to do an instant fix but it will probably not work and there are even methods you can try that are illegal and will get you in trouble. The credit repair places are mostly scams. They take your money and do some shady stuff to fix the credit. Sometimes they just take the money. The best way to work on credit is to ignore those companies and do it yourself in the time tested way that I described above. That is the only way that your credit can be permantly repaired and stay repaired.

yes you are correct. You can do it yourself, it just takes alot of time, alot of stamps, and alot of following up. Its a big headache. These places are out there for the people who just dont have time for it all (like me) and would rather pay someone to take care of it for them. I used a place that charged 50 bucks a month. After 4 months, i was quite satisfied with the results and just cancelled.

You need to check out this video on how to increase your credit score by using a 100% legal loophole. Here is the video URL: http://www.creditscoresecret.org

I was able to get to 595 from 489 in just one day and from 489 to 748 in just a few week; that's pretty fast in my book. Good luck!

You can do it yourself if you have time to follow up. Here is a site that I used very successfully for credit repair. They delivered.
