I have white walls so if the sun gets in the room is pretty bright. what kind of blinds makes a room fairly dark?

They actually have blinds called "room darkening" blinds. You can go to Home Depot and talk to the person in the special orders desk. He will let you know all the options. These blinds don't have the holes for the light to pass through.

Blinds are available in light filtering or room darkening styles. The packages are marked accordingly. In mini blinds, aluminum is better. Vinyl just doesn't hang right or shut tight to keep out the light.

When you are at the store and looking,look for the room darkening ones.They say right on the package.Then there are lite darkening up to very dark.Even the white ones darken,just be sure to read it..Hope this helps.

they have room darkening blinds. We had to get some a few years ago because my husband worked overnight and couldn't sleep durning the day. I think we got them at wal-mart
