Can some tell me some pistols that have fixed barrels or possibly a link to a list of fixed barrel pistols.The only ones I know are the makarov,p7, and desert eagle.

I'm just talking semi autos.I what I mean is what are some pistols in particular that have a fixed barrel.

Most pistols that are chambered for 9mm Makarov or smaller rounds are fixed barrels. Wather PP, PPK and PPKs and all of there copies (Bersa, Makarov, Hungarian P63, Iver Johnson/American Arms TP22, etc.) are all fixed barrels.

To the best of my knowleged, all "fixed barrel pistols" are light caliber blow-back operated weapons, or are gas operated, like an H&K P-7
Since the Desert Eagle can use the same reciever and change calibers with a simple swap of barrel and slide, I don't think it is a real fixed barrel pistol.
I doubt if anyone CAN list all fixed barrel handguns. Assume that the list includes all .22 LR pistols, nearly all .25 SCP's, most .32 ACP's, some .380 ACP's and 9mm Makarovs, a very few 9 mmP's, and I don't know of any larger caliber fixed barrel pistols.

Theoretically, fixed barrels provide more accuracy due to consistant positioning of the barrel/frame assembly. What a lot of people do not know is that there is a degree of error on most non-fixed barrel systems when the barrel goes in and out of battery. This is one reason why match-grade semi-auto pistols (SigP210,custom 1911 guns, etc) that don't use a fixed barrel are so expensive. There is more precision manufacturing and checking involved. Remember also that there are exceptions to the above.

Familiar with 1911, but not your particular gun. If it's a '1911 style' then that barrel rides in a removable front bushing right? Field strip it and check the inside of that bushing for foreign matter or roughness on the top. Careful. If the '1911' style is modified so the barrel is fixed to the frame, a certain amount of pressure on that barrel could be critical to accuracy, and that wear mark something you'd best just live with.

Most 22.cal pistols usually have barrels mated to the frames(Sig-Sauer Mosquito, Browning Buckmark, Ruger Mark series) its supposed to improve accuracy and provide a more stable shooting platform.

Your question is somewhat confusing. Most all revolvers and semi-automatic pistols are "fixed" barrel firearms. What is it you are asking ?
