yup it's a fact now that the christians had there ID idea crushed they are trying to claim evolution as gods work. if god created us through evolution he is grossly incompetent.

It is a theory.
I dont need to read all the stuff on wiki to say that with 100% accuracy.
It is a fact that every man will die.
A theory is a description that describes some part of reality with some accuracy.
Most human constructs are theories.
Things that really happens are facts.
doing difficult about nothing.
duh.
interesting to see that this wiki page is only available in spanish and english and that creationism is popular in the us.

If the term "just a theory" is used, the speaker is not using the strict scientific definition which is the highest order of understanding. The proper counterterm is "fact" since evolution has been observed.
If theory is used soundly, then theory means well-evidenced and not countered by disproving evidence. Fact at that point is better replaced by datum, one piece of the groundwork.

All theories are facts in and of themselves. But facts are not necessarily the same as truths. It's a fact that I have an opinion, and that opinion is a fact although not necessarily factual - factual is used as a synonym for truthful, but was based on a misunderstanding of what a fact really was.
Anyway, what's your point? Evolution as a theory is highly accurate if scientific testing is any measure of accuracy. And science is the only realistic measuring tool we have.

It's a *proven* theory. Meaning, that there is little doubt, if any, in the scientific community. It's not 100%, but it has much more proof than intelligent design...which has 0% proof.
Things evolve every day, that's evident even with little things like viruses. The reason this wasn't in the Bible is because the men that wrote it hadn't advanced that far scientifically, so they assumed that someone else must have made them.

It is a farce. Start with the big bang theory; They say everything that exist came from a single molecule of matter. That is impossible. I used to work with Nuclear devices in the Navy. The Nuclear bombs explode and the energy from that mass instantly starts loosing energy. At some point all the energy is used up and the blast can go no further. The same would go for the minute matter that they claim as to be the beginning of all things. It is imposable for the big bang to have physically happened.

Evolution is a theory....a well documented theory based on everything that science can determine. And it is subject to change if any evidence to contradict it arises. For example, scientists keep finding remains of past animals and plants (which they determine the age using carbon dating), and have created "family trees" with them. Now, someday, if the rules ("Theories") on carbon dating are found incorrect, that would change everything!
How gravity works is also a theory.

It is both. A proven theory and a fact.
Evolution deniers scrape facts and outright lies together and construct theories out of the resultant mess in order to come to a conclusion they've already arrived at. True science is methodical and when new evidence is found changes its conclusion accordingly.

Natural selection the basis of evolution is an indisputable fact. Micro-evolution has been proven, and can be observed in short periods of time. Macro-evolution is well founded in fossil records, but we cannot physically see life evolve on earth because we have tiny lifespans compared to the thousands and millions of years it takes for major changes in species to occur.

Since the theory, and that's ALL it is, of evolution breaks several of the LAWS of thermodynamics, it has no leg to stand on. It can't even "evolve" itself a leg to stand on.
Look up the second LAW, not theory, of thermodynamics and if you're somewhat intelligent, you will see that evolution is an absolute impossibilty. Darwin even admitted that it was a farce on his death-bed, but you don't hear too much about that...do you?
