If you want to stay in stop complaining.. Go to work and do it. If you want out go tell the doctor and tell him to process you for discharge. Then wait to see if the VA will give you a 10% disbility $300 a month. This is not permanent. Reeval are done and the 10% can be lost. I suggest that if you like the pay and retirement benefits -- stop complaining about the ankles and stop playing basket ball and running...If your hooked on pain pills -- get unhooked...

I would say if you are active duty and not still in boot camp probably not! usually it takes rest and medications to reduce the pain and inflammation of tendinitis. These may be the only treatments you need. They may also give you a few activities to help with your range of motion. But I would think that would be the most to come from it.

They have to give you a medical evaluation board (MEB) to see if you are fit for duty and if it is correctable with surgery. Most of the time you would do the MEB after the surgery. If you are not able to stand or perform you duty yes you can and will be separated from service. Some times with a separation bonus

Nope.....they hack off the bad part and set you up with a wooden peg and shoulder parrot. Hold it partner...this just in... the wooden leg is ok but the parrot isn't acceptable due to the mess the bird produces.
