Isn't it funny that he proclaimed his innocence, held out as all his co-conspirators fell, now pleads guilty and apologizes to anyone he hurt?
Apology NOT accepted. I may have considered it if he plead guilty the day he was arrested or charged. But not weeks later after proclaiming "I didn't do nothing wrong". Whatever. I hope the NFL never allows him to play again. He deserves so much more than he is going to get.
I realize that killing a human in some people's mind is a greater travesty than this but to those people I say - really? Isn't/shouldn't all life be valued? And I ask - if a man would do this to a dog - do you think he treated people all that well either? Animal abuse is a step towards violence towards women, children, and mankind. If a man has no respect for an animal - what sort of respect does he have at all? None, nada, zip.

Yeah, so disappointing. What is sooo disappointing is that a man with unlimited resources would choose to spend them torturing and killing defenseless animals. I had hoped he would do the maximum sentence allowed for the charges against him, but he probably won't do half. What I also find disappointing is that people were so incredulous when the allegation first came out. Dogfighting is far more prevalent than people would like to think, and it's not just inner city youths, it's bankers, and lawyers, and rappers, and pro basketball players. Snoop Dog himself sells Pitts bred specifically for fighting and these dogs sell fro THOUSANDS. Its big money, dogfighting. And it is a cruel and barbaric sport. Michael Vick is just one of many, and it's too bad the punishment won't fit the crime.

Sure is - I would have loved to see a trial with all the horrors made public so this sick pervert's complete story is made public.
The only good thing to come out of this is that the crime and horror of dogfighting is publicized, but sad it has to be at the cost of those poor dog's lives.
Vick deserves to be locked up - he will at least have food and water - more than he gave some of those dogs that were under his keep.

The person that is in charge of the game will not be letting him play because he said that Michael Vick lied to him.

Here's what really upsets me. Here is a guy with so much talent and a wonderful career, and what does he choose to do with his ability to influence people?? DOG FIGHTING!!
It just goes to show what a poor example of a human he is. You can't blame people too much that are raised that way and then continue to live in poverty and don't have the means to better their situation, but he had EVERYTHING and he chose to torture animals with his resources.
He deserves life in prison, but at least with the plea there is guaranteed prison time and he won't walk away with a not guilty verdict.

Three things.
1. Banned from all professional sports forever.
2. Prison term of at least 5 years, the maximum law will allow.
3. All his money and estate goes for a public education campaign about the evils of dog fighting.

i exploit to be an excellent Vick fan, yet whilst he became harmless and ought to coach it, he does no longer have plea bargained. What he did to those helpless animals became barbaric and unacceptable to any human with a soul. He specific did no longer help the stereotyping the two.

Yes, he had such promise as a star athlete. I was amazed as his physical talent, but never his team-play. He always seemed to be more interested in looking impressive than winning the game. Its such a shame to waste such impressive ability for such a stupid reason.
