My bra size is a 40 E. yea thats pretty big for my age. well, it has been causing a lot of pain to my back and we have tried many times to get surgery to reduce them, but our insurance will not pay for it cause they think im too young and that I am still growing. and we dont have the money to pa for surgery right now. I really would like to reduce them and I cry so much cause its so painful. please give me advice on what to do. I would greatly appreciate it.

Quantum Biofeedback Therapy has a breast reduction and a breast enlargement program that is non-invasive. Also wearing a custom fit bra rather than a store bra will make a difference in the pain in your neck and shoulders simply because they are designed different.

I do both the Quantum Biofeedback and fit custom fit bras. My bra clients are very happy with the results and relief wearing the bras. Also with the biofeedback therapy.

You need a better bra, sweetie. If you've got your breasts properly supported, it should not make your back hurt so badly.

I've listed a site someone gave to me (I wear an odd sized bra, too). It's the people that come to Oprah and measure you while you're bent over and then tailor a bra just for you. They have parties all over the country for people to attend and everyone gets a good bra. They're about $60/ea., but I don't remember the last time I wore a bra that fit. It would be worth it to me!

I hope your body does grow. That size wouldn't be too bad for someone almost 6' and 140 lbs.

E-mail anytime, sweetheart.

P.S. Honey, you can take tylenol or up to 800 mgs (4 tablets) of ibuprofen anytime to help with the pain. Take a little food with the ibu to protect your stomach.

talk to your family DR. there should be no need for a young woman to have to deal with any of that. a Friend of mine her child was a large bra size also, she had to go to the Dr's a lot and let them know about all the problems it was doing to her body and then impact it was doing on her, she would also cary when she would come home from school and was unable to do sports. And have your family contact insurance, there are ways of having it done.
I would also go have have your self fitted with a bra that can help a little bit more with support.

I really think that your parents need to force this problem to the insurance people. This is a medical problem that most women can have done here in Mississippi. When I was younger in the 8th grade I had to have breast surgery due to one of my breast were larger than the other one due to birth control pills. We didn't have alot of money neither. And also you can call around and ask question at different offices in your area.

I am sorry for you, I have had big ones my entire life also! You are 15, try finding another doctor who is sympathetic. My friend in school had hers reduced, but they wouldn't do it until she was 17. She was the same size you are, they took her to a 38c, and told her if she grew more they would reduce them again at age 19. I hope this helps. I have 36DD, and an old back injury so I know where you are coming from. Talk to your parents about switching doctors.

therapies to hold you til the insurance company considers you old enough:
1) weight loss - number one thing to do
2) exercises to strengthen your musculature in your mid back (see physical therapist or chiropractor with rehab knowledge)
3) thoracic spine manipulations (getting your back "cracked" by a chiropractor or osteopathic doctor will help tremendously for now)
4) go to an upperclass department store and have yourself professionally fit for a bra...you'll be surprised you're not wearing the correct size. a good supportive bra will make a huge difference.

Make sure you are wearing bras that are the right size. Also, if you are overweight, you can try dieting, because breasts will shrink when you lose weight. If you are already a healthy weight already, then I would suggest talking to your doctor.

I'm sorry you are in pain.

You should talk to your doctor, and ask them what else you can do to help with the pain. Good luck!
