When Jesus came as a baby the first time the entire religious body of the time missed his arrival and never knew he had ever arrived. The religious leaders and people of that time were looking too high, and Jesus passed them by to minister to those who were the most "wicked". Jesus is here now in the form of His spirit, and most of us (including me) are looking for some great manifestation. The lowly carpenter from the despised town of Nazareth is knocking on our hearts right now asking for our love. He himself said "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Why look up, when He is right in our midst. His return will be the most important event in the history of the Universe, BUT it will be so important because He will be coming to take home those who have already had the greatest miracle ever performed: the miracle of a divine being that is love dwelling in their once corrupted heart.

I am well prepared for the death ( i am assuming you mean that with Jesus coming back ) . I have some assurances that will pay for my tombstone , i have written down the music and talks for the funeral and selected the flowers and a list of people who are allowed to come to my funeral. All information I keep in my write protected memostick that I carry around my neck.

I am!
I have been for some time now....I just wait.
I am continually saying "maranatha!"
And I continually pray the Lord will make me more and more ready--
As I look to His Kingdom....for this life is passing- fading- as God says:
1 Peter 1:24-25
24For,
"All men are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25but the word of the Lord stands forever."[a] And this is the word that was preached to you.

If jesus would come back but nobody would know who he is, a lot of religions would persecute him and even kill him, just like they did before. His true ideas have been forgotten and christianity (most of it) is based now on rituals instead of believing in god and doing what religions ask: being kind with everyone, making other people's life happy

It doesn't matter when He returns.
(something about not knowing the hour of your master's return...)
He's coming to judge the living and the dead. Anyone not ready for Him when He gets here just means less people coming with us on the trip.

I just hope we don't mistakenly lock Him up in the loony bin.

No, I don't think we can ever be ready enough. Of course, this depends on the individual person(s); this topic can't really be talked about on a collective level. Just do what Jesus said, and be forever watchful.

I think Jesus needs to come back and show this generation how things are supposed to be? To guide us once again, to speak the bible in today's terms?
