And if you did, what events were taking place in this country that made you believe that way?

Probably all the msnbc specials I watched on religious cults that live in planned communities. I have one down the road from me.. they have taken their religions and twisted them into something morbid and sick. They beat their women, neglect their children and they feel that its right because like I said they twisted their religion.

I'm guessing you mean Christianity or do you mean all religions?

Honestly, you see it much more in the media since 9/11. It is kind of weird.

As far as Christianity goes, it has been going down the drain since the Messiah died though there has been a strong movement to go back to the basics and shed off all this traditionalism junk.

What do you mean "before" and "thought.

It "has" been going down the tubes ever since the fools dreamed it up and imposed it on others.

What events in what country? Are you so self righteous that you think everybody lives where you do? That's a reflection on you and your beliefs...you think everybody should be like-minded and have the same area code.

It was after... that's when I started to wonder.

It seems that the distinction between preemptive strike and turn the other cheek got lost somewhere along the way... and I can't think of more opposite principles.

The reaction to 9/11 demontrated that real religion was long gone.

I still think its going down the tubes. It's all politics and money. Just look at the huge mega churches going up. I just always think, a lot of kids could have been fed for the price of that chandelier.
Sorry, I just can't respect that, no matter how much Bible you spout at me. It's hypocrisy, plain and simple.

Before- I thought religion was almost already DOWN the tubes...
NOW- I think its still only halfway there.

edit: seeing the muslims and christians at war is the REASON i don't think its down the tubes yet... I think people are still clinging to it like a pacifier and will fight tooth and nail to protect their beliefs... even if they aren't worth it.

You make it seem like 9/11 changed that or something.

It didn't.

Yes it is . The Roman Empire was attacked by barbarians and shortly after is fell. America was attacked by terroist and does that mean America will fall to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! America is an pagen nation. They think they can control God and mock him by cursing. God's arm is not to short to crush America to pieces.!!!!!! And I belive it will happen very soon!
